Does the King just like to have his privacy or is there another reason, like a trucking strategy where the King does not want a broker to know where he is?

Hello Polarbear , sorry for the slow reply. Usually when someone post anything on here I get an email. I did not get any emails for 2 days from TR.
So decided to check and then noticed.
I live in South Korea and sometimes things get cut off like my Yahoo account and I have to log on again and all things are all good again.
I have not gone to school yet but have check on Sage school in Indiana. 4-5 weeks and one on one training and usually a company will prehire you and pay for the school. ( Carter Express ) will hire you and pay for school as long as you stay one year and you don't have to pay back any money.
Passport , Congrats on the new house , any pictures ???
Seemed like I missed a lot in a few days , hope everything is going good for everyone.HometimeQueen, gntorres61 and passport220 Thank this. -
The clubhouse is tiny. Has a public park/baseball field right behind. Paid less than half of what I paid for my first house, a condo in Chicago back in the 1990s:

WooHoo!!! I did bring this load bound for Atlanta to Nashville and I am set to get a swap. Swap load should arrive later this evening and it will require me to drive into the night but I am not sniveling. This swap will save me about 40 hours of downtime.
.honeybadger., dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
The house looks great Passport , looks like you can park your rig there in the driveway huh ???
passport220 Thanks this. -
^Thanks Dennis, If I really had to I guess I could squeeze it in, maybe but I have no plans to. Don't want to bust up the driveway with the weight, I can park it on the street, far end of the baseball field, far enough that the little leaguers can not hit it with a foul long ball. There is a drive to the public park I can pull into, end up right at my back door. Don't want to long term park there but it will work to unload stuff, then go park.
Oh and since you are still learning about driving. The squeeze part about getting it into the driveway is the front clearance. The distance when the trailer tandem wheels hit my driveway to the far street curb is shorter than the truck. If I ran over the neighbors grass, the neighbor in the house just across the street from my driveway, I could pop the truck into my driveway in a jiffy.Last edited: Oct 4, 2014

Nice house passport. Now we just need to get a party going. LOL
In Perrysburg, Oh. will have plenty of time on this load. Will wait till I get in Wi. to ask if they can push appoinment time up. 1700 Monday with only 660 left wouldn't mind a swap but won't push for one. either way I am set up for a decent week.
I am with the King when I drove for a small guy the broker wanted me to turn on my tracking location and I said no I will check in every morning and afternoon. I do not like anyone having the ability to track me on my own personal equipement. This truck belongs to Trans Am(even though I lease it is still theirs) if they want to track it then put a tracking device in the load or in their own equipement. You never know who is tracking you if you give them permission and I would bet they can do a lot more than track if they wanted to if you give permission to track, like listen in on phone calls or look at you through the camera. Maybe I am paranoid but that is how I feel.
Be safe out therepassport220, HometimeQueen, Panhandle flash and 1 other person Thank this. -
^ I guess I would not care if a broker tracked me, if it helped me to get loads and make more money. However, I do understand how it can make someone uncomfortable. I would not want it in my POV or in private life but in a working truck, I guess I would not care. Maybe it comes down to your relationship with the broker if you would care or not. Many brokers do have a reputation of being ... questionable ... that is a good, diplomatic word for it.

Hey everyone....just have a question(s).
My SO started training on 9/15. He would of been on his way back to the yard tonight after him and his trainer dropped their last load off. Now here's the crappy thing. I get a call Thursday night with my hubby in TEARS which is not normal of him. I have seen him cry two times the entire time we were together and once he was drinking lol So anyways.....he is informing me he is taking an ambulance to the hospital because he was in extreme pain from his back and left leg. He threw his back out during the week but toughed it out as usual. Now a few weeks ago he had a minor case of cellulitis so I was concerned something was wrong. We also drove from CT to CO in two days with very few breaks so I was worried he was suffering the pain from a blood clot. Fast forward to the hospital. He was told that due to him being in the hospital, he would have to take a taxi back to the truck, gather his things and stay at the local Motel 6 for the night and in the morning he was to fax his release to the office that he was able to drive. The dr gave him a muscle relaxer and it didn't dawn on him that he obviously couldn't drive. So Trans Am informed him that he would foot the bill and go home for 10 days and supposedly they would mail a packet out for the doctor to fill out saying he was okay to work, etc. So here my SO is on his way home still, panicking that he will be let go which would SUCK for us financially and the fact he has no real verifiable OTR except for what he did in TT school and his training with Trans Am. I have read enough on this forum to know that a lot of truck companies pull some fast ones on people. I know that he can be replaced with no issues as they train 25+ people every week. Any info would be great, seriously to ease his and my mind. Is there anyone in particular that he can request to speak to or someone to stay away from lol
Bottom line, he REALLY wants this job for obvious reasons and because he knows he can make money if he runs hard enough. He is afraid that because he chose not to lease, he is gonna get #### on. I know Trans Am LOVES to push their leases!! -
Bunnie, I don't know how this is going to go down for your significant other, but I CAN tell you this. I am a company driver and have been with TA for four months and not one day did they force any lease down my throat. I told my recruiter, Jonette no way I go there if I have to be a lease driver. They took me. Every company has to reduce their liability. These people are not snakes!! They have been very fair and even tolerant with me. I had a couple of minor incidents/accidents my first week and they stuck by me. Hopefully your man's medical status improves and that he can continue his career. I will pray for you both and wish the best. May God bless you, Bunnie. Hope this helps.
