In North Carolina on my way to upstate NY. Back on a daytime driving schedule.
Good price on a pair of bolt cutters at Harbor Freight to cut seals (I gave away my last pair to my dad):
18 in. Bolt Cutters - Sale: $10.99

The word on Harbor Freight is that they have good prices on hand tools but stay away from anything powered, it will not last.

The good thing about our job, I don't need to worry about having anything shipped, I just use the store locator and drive right to them:

Hometime is over and George is en route to Baxter, NC heading to Minnesota. Hoping this stretch out will run much smoother than the last 2 + weeks. Hometime was good, always. I just hate when it ends.
Happy Monday and safe travels, All!!

dennisroc, HometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this. -
Crap. While crossing the GW, a dump truck drifted and got me. Put a pretty good rip in the trailer. Mondays suck!!!!
passport220 and dennisroc Thank this. -
First things first ....are you ok? A trailer is just a trailer.

It may just be Yahoo , I noticed that they are going to my Spam email
passport220 Thanks this. -
I have noticed the same thing about the notifications, dennisroc and SRQGhost. I think it started about the time that they shut down that last time for maintenance. Some I get an email on and some I don't.
honeybadger, I'm sorry about the tires. Will your maintenance account cover them?
jungHo, It seems as if the run to MN is becoming a regular thing after home time for George. That is a nice run with good miles! Tell him not to stop in any of the "high swap" areas! I think we have many of them identified on the blog. The only time you stop at them for your 10 is when you have a load that you want to get rid of, (like passport did in Nashville). He is in my prayers that this will be the beginning of good weeks and good miles for him.dennisroc, jungHo and passport220 Thank this. -
Well my good runs have hit a curb. Have to pick up Wednesday morning in Storm Lake then onto Buffalo for Friday delivery. Probably be a 2,500 mile week if I am lucky but can't all be homerun weeks. At least I will have plenty of hours to run the week after. Have to leave here in a few minutes to do this delivery.
Be safe out therePanhandle flash, HometimeQueen, passport220 and 2 others Thank this. -
I just talked to ajacks and here is our update on gamma -
He is doing well and goes back to the doctor tomorrow. He will probably be off of work a few more weeks. TransAm has been very fair and treated them well. It has been a blessing for them to not have to worry about the lack of a paycheck or medical bills. This is great news and good for you all to know!passport220, jungHo, dennisroc and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks for the update on gamma, HTQ. That is great that TA is taking care of things and certainly good to know. I'm glad it worked out well for gamma and ajacks!
Hope things get taken care of with your trailer and your day improves, Flash. As Hometime said, at least it was the trailer.Last edited: Oct 6, 2014
HometimeQueen, dennisroc and passport220 Thank this. -
Well my preplan had changed again. I am waiting here in Hopkins, Mn. for a door assignment. Had to pay for lumper service before I would even be put on the list. Just a feeling but I think this is one of those places that takes forever. We will see.
Be safe out theregntorres61 and HometimeQueen Thank this.
