Good god!!!!! I take back anything nice I might have said about this place. Almost $15 for an omelette, hash browns, coffee , and a mug filled. Talk about highway robbery!!!!

Very slowly. I use an outside tax service the one offered by Trans Am doesn't offer as many services. Mine is about $15 more a month but I just stuff my receipts in an envelope and they sort it all and put it on a disc. They send me my tax bill every quarter and I send the money to where ever they give me envelopes for.jungHo, dennisroc and passport220 Thank this.

Most do between 2,500 and 2,800 a week on average. Some weeks are more and some lessjdmredneck33 and passport220 Thank this.

In my first truck the APU never shut off but in this one once I am around 10 hours it shuts off. Hang in there. You are over half way through to the experience level you need to work for a really good company. There are some that are LTL and pay really well. My friend works for one and is home every day and makes very good moneyjungHo, gntorres61 and passport220 Thank this.

In Childress, Tx. for the night. Had to change my red airline today, mine somehow came apart. Will have KW do it with the good air lines when I get my PM done but this one works for now. This is the easiest one I have ever done cause the attachment to the truck is very easy to get to.
Next load is suppose to P/U in Cactus on Monday @ 0100 so I am going to drive into Amarillo tomorrow and stay there till tomorrow night so I can watch the games. Got to have priorities right?
Spilled my drink in the back of the truck today. Good thing it is water so no sticky stuff every where plus my carpet absorbs most of it just use a towel to soak most of it up. I hate spilling stuff. Went into Wallyworld and was in the back getting comfortable and then came up with the genius idea of sitting in the Pilot so when I moved my drink spilled(a 44oz cup) just cause I wanted to get a cup of ice.
Be safe out theredennisroc and gntorres61 Thank this. -
Ok here we go again. At the Kenworth dealer in Des Moines. Besides the batteries the engine was throwing fault codes. EGR and something else. The low DEF warning light was blinking even though the gauge was reading over half full. Call this truck Christine! Dedicated to making my life miserable. Two nights booked in the Motel 6 East Des Moines. Four Kenworth dealers in four weeks. Olathe KS, Raleigh NC, Albert Lea MN just picked up yesterday and now Des.Moines. Kenworth may have great trucks, but what does that say of their mechanics??

Looks like I am being T-Called to Olathe instead of the Joplin route, so I can not give the Queen her due. Would not mind having the two teenage ninjas detail my truck but really the windows are what I care about most.Panhandle flash and HometimeQueen Thank this.

I don't like reading about your calling yourself a looser due to bad equipment George. For a new driver, I think you are doing a great job. I'll let you in on a secrete, I had a low DEF warning light come on in my T-700 even when the DEF tank was near full. Almost all of my fuel sensors in all of my truck where less than accurate or flat out bad. I thought the DEF warning light was just a bad sensor, turns out is a known symptom of a regen system going bad. You caught it and properly got your truck into KW. I just kept driving and I ended up needing a tow. You did a better job on this score and I had over a year of experience in when I made that mistake. You are doing fine.
Also just a heads up. When looking at a hotel list when on breakdown you don't have to pick the hotel at the very bottom of the list. I don't pick the Four Seasons at the top but I do choose one for $8-$10 more. Like a Days Inn or Comfort Inn, get a free breakfast and free WiFi. Just make sure the hotel has a free shuttle or that the KW dealer will still give you a courtesy ride to the hotel of your choice. To TransAm's credit, they have always immediately approved my hotel requests without complaint.gntorres61, dennisroc, jdmredneck33 and 2 others Thank this. -
George, my T700 had that same problem two days out of orientation. It's not you! That particular problem runs rampant in the 700 just like the 680's rampant issue is electrical probs! Hang in there, friend. You'll get through this. Hopefully TransAm gets you into a better truck!
I am shut down in Percival, IA for the night. My beloved Cargill plant in Schuyler, NE came through for me once again with a winning lottery ticket!! They are actually short on a lot of trailers for multiple companies, including TransAm. My trailer immediately went from the wash dock in to a door to be loaded. But the load I was picking up was ready yesterday! Early pickup was last night and it drops dead at 0800 tomorrow. The icing on the cake is that this is a 2014 trailer! It goes to Miami for Wednesday delivery. Tomorrow I will probably shoot for Kuttawa, KY. I intend to stop at the Petro in Kingdom City most likely and see about having a nail extracted from one of my drives and patched before it goes flat and I buy another drive. On Monday I will stop in Jackson, GA and get to hang out with my best friend! He lives in PA and left TransAm back in August. Now he works for Norfolk Southern and will be spending a week in McDonough for training. I'm very excited that I will get to see him again.HometimeQueen, jungHo and gntorres61 Thank this. -
those new codes are from being jumped
it shorts all the electronics
and jaso the apu has timers on it that can be adjusted so it doesnt shut off and automatically starts when ignition is shut offwulfman75 Thanks this.
