Long live the King! Glad he made it through that event and is back in the saddle. Are your girls now ok with him back driving?

HTQ, I'm sorry about the King's accident and slow loads, especially for lowered pay. I understand what you said about the red truck as opposed to Mighty Whitey. That was definitely a Godsend considering the magnitude of the accident. Glad he's alright. What devotion, to get back on the truck and complete the load! I'd be concerned too. He did the right thing, though. He "got back on the saddle." Wow! I know you're doubling and tripling your prayers now! We really don't know what may have been avoided by diversions, etc in life. Great object lesson but sorry the King was the object!
passport220, dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
By this, do you mean you are scheduled to bring your truck into TransAm for PM? It will take like 15 hours but they are thorough, hopefully this will completely sort out your truck.Last edited: Oct 25, 2014

Thats ok Passport. Whatever it takes. I think the demons have been exorcised. All left to do is play Oingo Boingos "Dead man's party" to finish the job.

I believe many of you can identify with this picture. Of course, George is still recovering from a nasty cold, however, this last OTR jaunt (particularly) has worn him out!

Hey Yall dont Worry HTQ Im good Just got alittle busy with Work, School an Life at Home an This Tire Work an The weather we have been having up here in the northeast has been Hard on my Back. Other than Having a Love for Truck Driving due to The Experience from Family members that combined have well over 100yrs of Tractor Trailer truck driving experience there is also a couple other reason for m getting my CDL Class A an getting a Truck driving Job, Ill hae to share that story another time. Talked to a Trans Am Lease Driver today an He made Leasing out to be Something Really Great an Hes only been doing it for a few months But I didnt believe all he was saying Im still only going Company especially After my Discussion with Jaso an Even more so after a long Convo with my Daddy on the phone the other Day. He also Gave me a Great anwser to have when they ask me to lease or try to get me to Lease when I go to Orientation.
" I'll Lease if yall Pay me Percentage like 65% gross of my Loads"
Thats what my daddy started at when he started his Lease Purchase on his Old truck with the company he currently leases to back then he did a Lease purchase on a 2006 Freightliner which he Paid off an then the Motor went an was Basically given an option to either lease another Pre Owned truck or Go to a Deale ship an Buy a New Truck which now hes Buying a 2014 Freightline Coronado thru the Dealership an leases out to the company an now gets 67% gross of all his loads so Ill get my Experience thru Trans Am an then work on getting into the company My Daddys leases to.
Hope all is well with everyone Today is Day One of my Last two weeks of classroom time before I head down to the Yard or Hands on learningpassport220, dennisroc, HometimeQueen and 1 other person Thank this. -
I had to think about that time frame. I think I told you that my brother,(the one that is not so nice, lol) owned a trucking company for years. This was probably about the time he filed bankruptcy. I don't know how many trucks he had at that time but I do know he ended up letting about 17 of them go back because he owed more against them than what their value was. I think for many of the smaller carriers it was very similar to the home mortgage situation that this country has recently experienced.
They are doing ok. They always look forward to his time at home. They have plans ....Number One Daughter wants to go bowling, Number Two Daughter wants to go hunting.
I think what our Cranky One meant is that when you are ready to move on you will move on no matter what truck or DM you have at the time. For right now they suit your situation and travel plans. Forgive me Oh Supreme Cranky One if I have misinterpreted your words!
jungHo, dennisroc and gntorres61 Thank this.
