If everything goes as planned. I will pick you up and we will go to a laundry matt near the Olathe yard and there is a decent Mexican place next to it where we sit down and talk about what will happen while you train. Cranky is right I do not have much room in truck. Had more in T-700 but since I do not train much I like the T-680 but we will make do. It is only a week, usually pick up on Thursday afternoon, especially if you don't lease, it depends on how many in your class do if most don't I will have to wait for them to make a last pitch for you to, and more than likely you will be dropped off Friday. About 2-3 loads depending on where they send us. I try to keep it under 4,000 miles and you do most of the backs and we split the driving or you drive as much as you want to but I do not do team miles cause how can I help you if I am asleep in the back?

Just found this in old Thread

To inform the new drivers can you put a notice on the orientation bulletin board. Just give a site to go to but not a lot of detail so it will take corporate a while to figure out . word of mouth when you meet another driver somewhere. You are teaching new drivers to look out for pit falls and you will be helping a lot. Not all but many will benefit from it. Corp cannot take down this site and the notice on the board can be replaced.. I commend you all for caring enough to do something about the turn over and incident rate and the well being of the new drivers. KUDOS.

I will make sure to Seek out New Drivers when I get to Orientation an Inform them of Our Forum threads

My load changed. My DM tried to call me at home, missed the call, tried to call her back. Futile. Quicker for me to ride 5 minutes to my truck and check the TREQ. Sure enough, my Campbell Soup load to Bentonville AR was cancelled. Still going to Maxson NC but not Campbell Soup. Going to WE PACK LOGISTICS going to Bridgeton MO. Also, I pickup at 0730 instead of 1300 which means I leave in the middle of the night say 3am for the 200 mile ride plus fuel stop and trailer washout in Kenly NC. Jungho is not happy!! My 1200 mile run changed to 1000 miles. WAAAAAAAHHHHH! This place is only 8 miles from Ferguson. UY VEY! At least its a 2pm drop.

Well.... if you must know, and I warn you, it's no where near as bad as ya'lls stinkin thinkin!!!!!!! Use to work for the state of Oklahoma, was in communications, had 10 or 11 counties that I covered, including the panhandle. Drove a yellow van. Everybody kept saying, that all they ever saw of me was a flash, as I headed from one place to another. Now you know the origin of my handle.

BTW.... HTQ has informed me, that she and her girls, have been making pumplin pies and bread ALL day!!! Plans to mail some to each of us. She can explain where all the pumpkin came from and how she wants ya'lls address. :biggrin_25520::biggrin_25523:

BTW, I need everybody to check your self out, and make sure you've got it together. In the past week, I've seen 2 wrecks, where the trucks have actually gone BEHIND the guardrail, and tried to go thru a bridge. the small part of it that is. Neither made it, both caught on fire, not sure what happened to the drivers but, draw your own conclusions.

One of them was on I80, east side of Iowa City, North side of the hiway. Can see where the flames and smoke went up the bridge. Other was on I70 but can't remember where.

IF YOU TIRED..... PULL YOURSELF OVER!!!!!! TAKE A NAP!!!!!

Ah, Pam was my coach! We've stayed good friends since then!

I'm hitting the road in the morning. Getting dog food in Tupelo and taking it to Duncan, OK. Aiming to shut down around the Loves in Palestine, AR tomorrow.
