2,500 x .30 is a reasonable expectation starting out, as Jaso said, prove that you can do the job and consistently make on-time deliveries and your miles will tick up.

My M.O. is to live and work in the truck 24/7 for 6-7 months, then take leave for 3 to 4 months. Below is a snapshot of my pay during my first 6 months, I cut out training, orientation and parcel weeks, this is only full weeks driving pay:

And a job you don't paid for at that! You are such a trooper. Sure hope these driver knuckle heads appreciate you...bad taste and all! Lol!! :biggrin_25520:

How's the weather there, HTQ? Any snow get dumped in your yard?

BTW, George is homeward bound! If you could have been in fly on the wall in his truck a little bit ago, hearing him talking about heading home, you would have been amused. He sounded like a kid at Christmas! !! I'm glad he's excited about it. So am I!:biggrin_255:

You're welcome. Want to stress that is 7 days a week running. My people live in Omaha and Morris, IL, my runs often run right by them, so I can often make a visit with out using any hometime.

Take one day of hometime and it can cost you more than a day of miles. Hometime interrupts the flow, could get home early and run less, could be a delay in when you can make your next pick up. Could be lost time/miles on both ends. Most driver's don't mind as it just means more time at home.

No snow here. It's supposed to be 68 degrees today. Winds of about 35mph right now. The cold air should arrive tonight and by the end of the week high temps will only be in the 30's......I'm already cold! brrrrr I detest cold weather ....now you know why I am a reformed yankee.:yes2557: Daughters have a photo shoot scheduled in a couple of weeks ....outside, and have been asked to be in a Christmas Parade, I hope the weather warms back up some before then.

Two years in trucking means my two year DOT physical needs updated. Went into one of those quick care, no appointment necessary places to get it done for $80. Nurse does all the preliminary stuff, hight, weight etc. Then doctor comes in to do his exam:

Doctor: How are we doing today, how are you feeling?
Me: I just flew in from West Africa and I am feeling a bit under the weather.

    Doctor: ...
    Me: ...

    Doctor: ...
Me: That was a joke. I am fine and I have never been to Africa.

    Doctor: ...

Apparently urgent care facilities are not the best place to make Ebola jokes.
