jungho don't take away Cranky's soapbox, he will become even more cranky.
In Oak Grove, Ky. for the night. Hopefully should make it into Fl. from here tomorrow. Nice to get out of cold weather.
Be safe out thereHometimeQueen, passport220 and jungHo Thank this. -
Driving on I-35 right past Olathe. Stopped in the yard to follow up on some old receipts and pick up some anti-gel. Opps, they red tagged my trailer at inspection. Says it needs some PM and the DOT bumper shows some old, minor damage. Who knows when it will be released again.
Since we are a company that values safety and the shop guys will take care of any issues, thank goodness I stopped here in the yard, right? grrrrrrrrrrr If I was young enough and still flexible enough, I would kick myself in the arse right now.gntorres61, Panhandle flash, jaso37 and 2 others Thank this. -
jaso, take a look around and see if you can find our honeybadger .....that's the last pin I have for her.

HTQ I think I am the only TA in here for right now anyway
passport sometimes we all act like first day rookies. Just like when I told them yeah I will go get that trailer in that yard that has been sitting there for a long timeHometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this. -
Did you just call me a first day rookie? lol ... yeah, I did think about the inspection but I figured if they found something, it would be just a quick fix like a wheel seal or something, did not know they stopped loaded trailers for PM. I am going to snap a pic of the damaged bumper and post it here later. I run with bumpers in that kind of shape all of the time.
It will be ok if they get me rolling again by first thing in the morning. I can run it hard and still be on-time, feeling a little bit lazy today anyway.HometimeQueen and jaso37 Thank this. -
Hey Jaso make sure you are not dragging any of that cold weather down here with you otherwise you have a pleasant time with temps, figuring around mid to high 70's with lows in the high 50's. until mid week at least, thats when forcast shows mid to low 40's with high's in the low 60's. Maybe I will see snow flurries down here again this year, haven't seen them in a long time.
And sorry to all that are freezing your butts off right now, I am sure you all are trying to figure out how to get the really cold weather down here as you read this.passport220 and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
my map pin is in green bay until monday
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
All kidding aside, I guess I have to give TransAm credit. I have always said I thought they had good equipment and made repairs right away when needed, so good on the shop guys for doing their job.
This is the bumper:
I saw the bumper and did not think twice about it, not a second thought. Maybe it looks more incriminating for me since it is already under repair at the time I took the pic. Would others here red tagged this equipment on their own and shut down until it could be repaired?HometimeQueen Thanks this.
