I haven't done any research on companies that take students in quite a few years, dennisroc. Trucking is a very transitional business and things change so when you are ready we will do the search of the century to find the best fit for you!

One thing that I do want to point out when you are looking for a starter company is that even though a company takes students that doesn't always mean that they are student friendly. That is another good thing with TransAm .....they are tolerant of beginner mistakes, not all companies are. It is a high stress job with much to learn. You are thrown into the fire immediately. You want a company that allows you that time to learn.

I can't take credit for the idea of keeping a list of good companies, dennis. When I first found the forum and was looking for information about this life that we all lead, there was, and is, a long time driver on the forum that seemed to give the best advice in a very non-judgmental way. I admired his posts and respected the advice he gave to other drivers. I've never had a conversation with him but I tried to learn from him. He is the one that suggested always making note of good companies that might suit your needs.

Yuck!!! Pumpkin spice????? Haven't had anything yet and not sure I will. Any place that doesn't open till 1500, is NOT interested in making money. JMHO
