And that is why I would prefer to be trained during winter conditions so I know how to handle it and not freak out about it or letting my pride get the better of me in trying to push through something I shouldn't cause I don't know better.

    passport220 Thanks this.

If anyone is at or going to the Rockwall yard, look George up. If he isn't there now, he soon will be. He will be doing a drop and hook, taking his 10 there, then heading out to Kansas.

Yes Jungho I am here ready to eat and take a nap AND I am in my underwear. That should scare anybody ad everybody away. Said hello to my dm2 and Ms Calico who dispatched me my first weekend here at TA. Have a load off the yard tomorrow headed to Coca Cola in Wichita, Kansas. Then probably something off the Olathe yard. Happy Thanksgiving and all the best to you and your family. Nite nite.

    jungHo and dennisroc Thank this.

driving winter conditions is really no more then common sense
just a bigger mess if you dont use it
dont go faster then you feel safe
no matter how many big riggers are passing you

George everyone feels pressure differently some let it roll off some think every word is God talking to them
no one can be pushed if they are not willing

Panhandle flash and dennisroc Thank this.

300 miles turned out to be less than 240 but I took the load. We all know dispatchers will say anything to get what they want. It worked.

"Best" part is now my preplan calls for me to sit 40 hours, unpaid over the Thanksgiving holiday until a shipper opens up to get me a load going to Kansas. I know my posts are a disappointment to the TransAm cheerleading squad but I am feeling pretty disgusted with TransAm right now.

I guess it is all the same with the mega carriers. They will all let you sit unsupported 12, 24, 36 or 48 hours without layover or detention pay, I guess I should just feel lucky I have a job.

gntorres61 and Panhandle flash Thank this.
