You're right, communication has taken a turn for the worst with TransAm. It is for sure worse system wide compared to when I started two years ago.
5,500 sounds like a very good, very correct number when running with a student. I think it does help a student to be in the truck while someone experienced is driving as long as the student gets the proper amount of drive time as well. I never did train as I did not want another person in the truck with me but I always had that kind of number in mind to run as a mini-team/super solo with a student. Glad Flying Jay continues to do well.
I am fine here, I just keep banging out posts of my experiences almost out of habit at this point. I will move on and I think I will leave with at least an okay option of TransAm in the end.HometimeQueen, gntorres61, jaso37 and 1 other person Thank this. -
passport, the truth is not whining.....actually it seems to me as if TransAm does the whining when they are confronted with the truth. You have done well with them and just got a really raw deal with this last DM. You have a good plan and will do much better with your next company. There are many many small carriers that will accommodate your schedule, and even a couple of larger ones. With your experience you will have your pick.
The same is true for you jaso ....when you are ready to move on you will have plenty to choose from. I am so glad that Jay is doing well and I hope he is blessed with a good DM when he gets his own truck.
Truckertravis, best of luck in your testing next week!
Where is jdmredneck? I hope all is well for himjaso37, dennisroc, passport220 and 2 others Thank this. -
Who decided it was ok for the general population to run around in pajama bottoms? I want to know because if they are single I want to marry them!
When I left to live in Asia full-time in 2005, the only people I knew who wore pajamas were on TV. Image my shock when I saw they are now calling pajama bottoms "lounge pants" and selling them in truck stops. They are great! Cozy and comfortable. Since I did a California run about a month ago, I can say I have run coast-to-coast in a pair of "lounge pants".
For the record, yes, I do pull on a pair of jeans over the top of the jammies when I get out of the truck and am in the publics eye. Are we not all driving around the country in our TA Kenworths in lounge pants?

The little button in the left bottom is not enough. Thank you!!!
I agree, Jaso is a good egg, he is more experienced and has less reason to put up with the junk than I do. I just whine (truth tell) more than he does.jaso37, Panhandle flash and dennisroc Thank this. -

Sorry, Passport. I am already spoken for. Did it the other night when I was at the Tonkawa OK Pilot x214 i 35. Looks just like the above photo. No shame in my game. Besides it was 3am when I hit the TacoBell stand. I did have a jacket on over my pajama top since I had been fueling.dennisroc Thanks this.
