Working on my slavic accent right now. Just sounds more Russian. How about Igor? Russian for Georgie, I think.

You mean with shorts right? I wish! It looks soooooo comfortable but I do have too strong of a sense of decorum to do that. I always pull on a pair of jeans.

Okay, maybe not decorum, more that I don't know you people well enough to show off my lily white, chicken legs in front of you in public.

Passport, I feel for you. It does make a difference about your DM. Since I blew up at mine (text form) I have had 2500 miles last week and at over 3300 (actual not paid) this week. At the Peelot (smells like one too-when will these pigs learn to pee in a bottle and dump in the toilet) in Temple GA waiting for midnight to make my run for the roses to Columbia SC. Got a 0530 appointment then a 300 plus run home after this 3 week 9500 mile (odometer) trip. My DM says I should be able to PC to the house, but isn't this excessive. CY got my shorts and flippy flops on tonight after my shower and yes I intend to drive in them. Deuces.

LOL ... you guys are making me feel so civil. I really just strongly complain about my assignments to dispatch and then post about it here ... lol.

He said his paperwork says they have until 0200 to have the ready but his 14 is over at 12am. I told him to end his day at 5pm that way he can start back rolling again at 0300. Not sure if you can do it that way but the bad thing about that is you'll be ending your day at 1pm unless you drive for 5 shut down for 4 and then drive another 5.

Yeah, that is the way to do it. Trip plan at a start time that suits you that will still allow you comfortably make on time delivery. Usually run it hard the first day or two to make sure you are on schedule work out the rest from there. Sometimes it works out that I have to start driving at a time I don't like .... middle of the night ... but after you get some miles in, know you will be on time, you can work it and adjust to better, daytime hours over the course of the trip.

Most of the plants are good about meeting the final time aka "drop dead time" but I have had a handful go an hour or two past.

he goes off duty 15 minutes after he checks in takes his 10 hour break or longer before he picks up his load
if there is ample time he doesn't pick it up until he wants to drive
this is called trip planning and time management
more then loads and DM's it has to be used judiciously to reap the rewards of lots of miles and big checks
but what do I know 4765 paid miles in 9 days

jaso37, dennisroc, passport220 and 4 others Thank this.
