Here at Carneys Point NJ. Was given a Dole load out of the Port of Wilmington and had no TWIC. Guards were screaming at me to turn around and get off the property. Tomorrow, I have been assigned to go back in there and pay a gate and escort fee which has been loaded on my card that I will write an EFS check to get cash for. Money to appease those gorillas?? Yeah, the American Way. Hope they kick me out again. Peckerheads!

 

At a rest area along 76 with a final @ 8 am in upper darby, pa and then pickup in reading heading to marietta, ok on the 31st....

 

OK new plan. Do 3 deliveries tomorrow and then swap load in Columbus, Oh(I am sure other driver is thrilled) for a load going to Mount Vernon, Tx. Lowes. Then go get student. Will see if I can do all that before the end of Christmas day. Don't know if I have the hours to get it all done by then but will do my best. Best guess right now at miles is 3,400 paid, tough to do on e-logs. Wish I was on paper then no sweat.

Am so mad at my company right now and this stupid, poorly planned load. You'd think they were taking lessons from transam or something!!!! Finally got my last drop off, but since I'm in NJ, everything is already filled now, in the area I am at. Hoping I don't get kicked off this rcvr's property any time soon. Not only that, can't pick up till 1300 tomorrow. Almost ready to go to HTQ's hubby's company!!!!!! Course they'd have to cough up more money than they're willing to right now.

 

It has been a long day and I have just got to check in every once in awhile. honeybadger, I have had you and Avett on my mind all day. I hope this evening is going better for you.....wish there was something I could do to help. Are you going to be able to stop by your home on the way out of Florida? I hope so, I know it would make you feel better just to hug your boys for a little while, take a shower and have a meal with your family.

jungHo, how are you doing and how is your mom? I hope she is doing better and that you are able to get some much needed rest.

Panhandle, the only difference in your pay and the King's is that he doesn't get any extra pay for the northeast .....because he doesn't go there. But he does get detention pay, usually after 2 hours, and there have been times when his dispatch has told him "I just added $50 on your paycheck for this week because I know today was a hassle". You run more than he does ....but with the King's company you choose how hard you want to run. He runs hard while he is out but he takes home time more frequently than you. You could probably average the same kind of mileage with them because you would stay out longer. I think all in all the pay for you would be about the same kind of money as what you are making now. Pete's company pays about the best and has the best benefits .....but we'd all have to move to Wisconsin. Pete, how may guest bedrooms do you and Patty have?

I haven't had much time online today but I have seen some reports that part of I 80 is closed across Wyoming. Are you heading out tomorrow, oh Cranky One?
