HTQ, Mom is doing slightly better. Physical Therapist got her out of bed and sitting in a wheelchair briefly yesterday. I am in Virginia (since Sunday) with oldest daughter and grandkids getting sporadic rest. Yesterday was rather busy: 4 kids and 4 school Christmas parties! My daughter spent a little time at all 4. I was at (and helped) 2. Then brought youngest one, Titus, home while my daughter was at the last party. At least the youngest 3 are at the same school. She had to drive about 12 miles to her oldest daughter's school-junior high. I'm going home tomorrow for a couple of days, will go see Mom on my way back. Christmas day I'll spend some time with her and head back to VA to spend Christmas with daughter, her family, and possibly more of my daughters & families. Guess I'll be doing a bit of back and forth driving, but I don't want Mom to feel neglected.

Merry Christmas, All. Any of you getting home for Christmas? Looks very unlikely that George will--would be a miracle if he did. I will miss home, as your spouses/or other family members will miss you, if you aren't able to be with them. Hope it's special for each of you wherever you may be. God bless each of you for the sacrifices you make to move the freight!!!

 

To answer your earlier wuestion, SRQGhost, the answer is bandages. Bandages go to Dollar Tree. Less than 7000 lbs.

 

Hey Everyone Nailed Alley Dock My first Try this Sat an sunday I was nailing it all day only had to use a Pullout a couple of times all the other Times Got it In one try an Perfecto, This weekend is my last weekend in Alley dock an then the next two weekends I float around to all the Manuevers 18 days Til I Graduate an then take my License Test. At the third stop. Almost nothing left. Hopefully be in Pilot soon. They are saying other driver will be there 1600 . we will see not holding my breath. Should have plenty of time to shower.

My Pineapple load cancelled a couple of hours after I got back into the port. Today, I went into the correct entrance (the far right gate). Somehow I missed the tiny "Non Twic" sign yesterday. On my 14th hour, then, was going blind I guess. Retreated to the Tiny Pilot truck stop in Carneys Point NJ to wait for another load which I got less than an hour ago. Picks up tomorrow afternoon at 1pm at Aunt Kitty's in Vineland NJ headed to Family Dollar in Marietta Oklahoma for a Saturday Delivery. Good trip 1500 miles. I will be rested up for sure. Deuces.

 

Gonna have to have some fun with my family in the Chicago area. But all kidding around aside any of you driving through that area be safe.
