Lol I saw that one too Pete. If he can't even be bothered to do research or even stop and ask questions where past and current drivers are gathered it will just be an uphill battle and he'll be broke and bitter soon enough. We do BY here a lot, but there's plenty of knowledge to be gleaned as well.

Strange, ain't it? Dennis is living a life most of us envy and dream of, and we're living one that he envies. Go figure.

Dennis now you know why he is called Cranky. LOL. I would love to live your life but I know looking in from the outside that things are not always what they appear from this view.

Finishing up my 30 in Ardmore should be in Rockwall today. New student tomorrow. Then Florida.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

    JohnBoy, how have you been?
George and jungHo, enjoy your mini-vacation.....what a nice way to begin the new year.

Iwant2driveallday, as far as I know TransAm still starts students out at 30cpm with a 1/2 cent increase every 6 months. I think a good average on miles would be 2600 to 2800. There will be weeks with more and weeks with much less.

Gunrunner84, I don't have an answer for you on that. My first thought is that you are going to have to take a refresher course in order to get on with anyone. As in most businesses now days, everything is insurance driven....they have to be able to insure you as a driver. That being said, it never hurts to call and ask one of TransAm's recruiters.....sometimes TransAm has a different mind set than other carriers.

Thank you to all of you for your concern over the spider bite. It looks much better today......I am so glad that I had some antibiotics at home, I don't think it would look quite as good if I didn't have them. It touched my heart that all of you were so concerned.

We have talked a lot on here about the differences between drivers and good drivers. I think in order to be a good driver there are stages that you progress through. The first one is seeking as much background and information as possible. dennisroc, you have participated, got to know all of us, asked questions and learned so much that you are able to answer many new driver questions for other information seekers. I know that we all count you as a friend and one of us. In my opinion you are already a good driver ....you just haven't gone on to the next step, getting your cdl. :yes2557:

    jungHo and Iwant2driveallday Thank this.
