Kris, you already know how I feel about you moving on......it is long overdue. You fought the good fight but it is time for you to get paid for your experience and hard work. Best wishes for prosperity and many blessings in your new job!

I will spill the beans on where I'm going after the ink is dry. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. As odd as it may sound, I am actually sad to be leaving. I never intended to give this fight up, but my husband is wanting to go back to school and we are relying more and more on my income. This just isn't the place for me to be able to fully support our family of four. I will be so sad to see my truck on the road again in the future.

But some things I won't miss. Like the fact it is 39 degrees outside and my APU still doesn't work.

Gotta give dispatch props though. Last week I was on my hometime run and was having some issues and needed to get to a doc. Finally Tuesday night I couldn't take it anymore and begged them for a swap anywhere so I could deadhead home to the doctor. They got me the swap when I needed it and I was able to get to the doctor first thing Thursday morning. ((And am now feeling better ... which reminds me that I need to take my meds lol)). They've always been good about getting me home when I say I need to go home. Hope the next company is as good about that.

 

HB, I think it's great to see another TA'er, spreading their wings and moving on. I wish you luck in your new endeavor.

 

You sound like my mother ....She thought she was wrong once, but she was mistaken! ......or was that me? Naw ......I've never even thought I was wrong! ......I'm glad none of you all have my daughters phone numbers! They would gladly tell you how often they THINK I am wrong!

When student is on my truck we use my cards at fuel stops and I get team showers for us.

Once you move from your first company to another you will see this industry differently. There are things done here that are only done here at Trans Am.
