Just found out about this program recently when one of the drivers at the King's company took advantage of it. He has become an O/O and leased the truck back to the company. So far, it is working out well for him.

Thought I would put it out here in case anyone that reads the thread would qualify.

GREENSBORO, NC (January 29, 2014) – In recognition of the dedication and sacrifice of U.S. military service men and women, Mack Financial Services is offering returning veterans special financing terms for new MACK®commercial vehicles.

Recent veterans who have received an honorable discharge can receive a .50 percent (50 basis points) discount off the approved finance rates from Mack Financial Services and obtained through a Mack dealer. Veterans must possess a valid and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and must have been honorably discharged of active duty within the past 24 months to qualify. This offer is open to recently discharged members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.

“Mack Financial Services wants to show our appreciation of the service of returning vets with this unique financing offer,” said Tom Guse, president of the U.S. division of Mack Financial Services. “Mack Financial Services and Mack – a company which builds all of its vehicles for the North American market in the U.S.A. – are pleased to offer a program such as this to alleviate some of the pressures experienced by returning military personnel following their service.”

Units must be delivered and funded by Dec. 31, 2014. All credit tier customers are eligible and the rate discount is limited to a maximum of three units per qualifying veteran.

There has been a lot between Nashville and Knoxville, it seems like a daily occurrence. Too much construction and too many tourists on that stretch of highway.

OMG! He is gonna track us down!......we haven't heard from him this evening ....hmmmmm......he was in PA......she is out on bail!

 

And on a more serious note, for those of you who pray, keep my aunt I. Your prayers. She's had two cornea surgery and looks like it might be going bad again. Also has a fungus infection in her good eye, and just may lose the whole eye. Kind of bummed about this since she is my favorite aunt.


Back to the ole grind in the am. Watch out for me cranky or I'll run you over!! LOL

 

I'm sorry, Panhandle, and of course she will be in our prayers. Is this the one that lives in Louisiana?

Hello everyone , just logged 25 hrs . We are back in our house in Korea. Going out for some Korean food then gonna crash.

Back to work tomorrow " yuck ". LoL I see there has been a lot of,post in the last 25 hours , if I can stay awake I will do some reading.

 

Hey George, for future reference, the Walmart in Union City, GA is a great place to stop if you're needing to stay near Atlanta. It's like 2 miles off the loop on 85 on the south side. Jump onto 85 south, take exit 64 and turn right and Walmart is just up the road in the right. After I delivered in Newnan last time I went to the Walmart for the rest of the night. Where are you delivering in Montgomery? If it's the Winn Dixie/C&S they have a nice sized staging lot you can park overnight!
