Taking My Road Test Sunday
Panhandle flash, HometimeQueen and truckertravis84 Thank this. -
Of that $690 you will not pay any taxes on $276 because .12 cpm is per diem. I am sure that there are times that lease drivers will get priority on a load, but honestly that was never our experience when the King was there. As you gain experience and learn you will have more miles.....the job is moving the freight from point A to point B in a timely manner.....they are going to give the load to the person who does that.
Stay smart and stay strong!truckertravis84 and gntorres61 Thank this. -
I've signed on with Hirschbach. I survived my road test this morning. 3 guys never showed for orientation so it's just me!HometimeQueen Thanks this.

was the roadtest in an auto or a 10 speed?
-
Road test was in a 10 speed which I only drove for a week and a half two years ago in school!! Didn't grind too many gears and easily recovered a few. It could have been prettier but I told Steve I've spent 2 years in an auto and have almost no experience in a manual. Felt so good to be behind the wheel after all week in the hotel!!
Everyone is very friendly over here. Very impressed so far plus what I've heard from close friends. I think I will do very well here indeed.
They even told me as soon as I get Avett ((my dog)) on board I need to bring her inside next time I'm in Dubuque so everyone can meet her. Im sure Avett will love it here too since she can go inside all the buildings and people will give her treats.jungHo, gntorres61 and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
Today we took the general knowledge test, slid tandems uncoupled and coupled... Spoke with a company driver that was sitting in the drivers lounge he said hes doing great.. My roomate and i is still standing firm... One guy said hes going to lease and he doesnt even know how to work the Treq... Im baffled about that. One person got kicked out on friday and another guy left out friday leasing his truck. He worked for trans am previously and was succesful and baught his truck but it started giving him problems so he sold it and came back. We are down to 12 folks i think we will have 6-8 saying they want to lease come thursday. Hope everyone is doing well... Stay safe!

Was running I95 S thru CT today. Was in an actual convoy, since 4 of my company's trucks picked up at the same place, and delivering to the same place.
So.... here I am, just peacefully cruising along, and noticed a ford explorer, creeping up on my left side. Looked down and the passenger window was open. Want to guess what I saw???? Gonna tell ya anyway. Long legs with black fishnet stocking, the garter belt, and pink panties.......... on a guy. Just busted out laughing, couldn't help myself.HometimeQueen, wulfman75 and bigred81 Thank this. -
Hey Pan how did you make out in New Bedford?
-
Broker had very good directions so got there in fine shape. Loading area was kind of tight quarters, but no biggie. Presently have 39k lbs of frozen herring in the box. Sitting in Philly now, waiting to deliver.
Thanks for asking.jdmredneck33 Thanks this.
