an almost never load just happened here
CA must be real slow
noon time there was only 10 open spots in a 200 spot TS
so tomorrows load is 82 miles with a 24 hour window
hope i can make it for OTD

Has anyone heard from George? Did he survive the big bad Bronx? Or the snowstorm of horrific proportions? As I sit in South Florida basking in 75 degree temps enjoying beautiful sunshine.

He waited 5 hours to deliver his load and hastily exited the city to escape the blizzard. He is at a truck stop in NJ waiting for directions from risk management, regarding 40 cases of tripe shippers mistakenly gave him and WAlmart distribution center in NJ didn't want. I was going to post an hour or so ago but thought he would. He's either sleeping or doing laundry.

I called him after posting the above and, while he was in west NJ (just north of PA), he is indeed driving to eastern NJ to drop his trailer at a (tow?) yard and apparently bobtailing to PA for a paper load. He said it was snowing more on his route than at the truck stop western NJ but roads were better heading east. Hopefully he won't get caught in full force blizzard conditions. Oy vey! !!
dennisroc Thanks this. -
Jungho, it was snowing more in Western Jersey than on my route east to eastern Jersey. Yeah, snow definitely fell here, about six inches worth. Stopped for now. Hoping the driver shows to let me in soon so I can be rid of these 40 cases of cow stomach parts they call Tripe. The dispatcher told me he loves Tripe. The Italians love it. Gotta take my lock of the trailer. Gotta bobtail for my new paper load at Gladfelters in Spring Grove PA headed to Kansas City then, a turn and burn for hometime Sunday. Survived Hunts Point. Thanks Johnboy.
