Problebly in the 301 or I4 corridor then. If you are spending the night hopefully they are putting you up in a decent area with food nearby that you can walk to.

With all of the bad weather that has hit certain areas of the country, schedules and planning are a mess for many carriers right now. The advantage that TransAm has is in the ability to swap and relay a load across the country if there are available drivers along your route, crazy driver. They need the load picked up and secured, then run it out as far as you can. They will catch on to the fact that it needs to be swapped for on time delivery, or if there are no available swaps they will change the appointment time. They never change an appointment time until you are well on your way and there are no other options or available swap drivers. So take the load, run it as hard as you can.....get the majority of the miles on that particular load. You will be traveling and crossing freight lanes that are prime swap locations. They will figure it out.
This is one of the basic contradictions in the trucking industry......a driver is only as good as the information he is given and must plan days ahead in order to be able to make OTD, while a dispatcher is just a middle person that relays what little information that they are given by the planners. Dispatchers handle problems as they come about on a day to day basis.....they never look ahead several days and take care of issues before they are imminent.crazy driver 72 Thanks this. -
Oh I hear ya..I'm just laughing cause of how they always try to make it be the driver's fault.....I'm it's any indication early pickup time was monday 7 am....by the time I get down there I'll need my 10 so I'm not even sweating it...do what I can and run my hours out and if that ain't good enough..it is what is
