Yeah I had a 1pm, got there at 1130 but they were going to lunch. When they got back, they were quick to unload at Tension Envelope near downtown. Good folks there.

Well got the truck and trailer in Tampa. 2011 and purple but the truck is in good shape, 535000 miles. Runs good and was fairly clean. Love the skyroof. Only bad thing, had to squeze my fat arse between the seats to get back in the sleeper. I will stay in it as long as I need to. No problem. Picking up at coca cola Auburndale going to Walmart DC, Cleburne TX.

Today has been one of those days where I ultimately just wanna shoot myself. My bad luck curse is ridiculous. My truck is fixed, it was done sometime yesterday evening but I still got a hotel room on company's dime which was nice. Cable TV and unlimited hot water, lol. I went to the chiropractor this morning and it was AMAZING. I have been in dire need of adjustment. My hometime load picks up right next to the yard at Farmland and is a two stop deal finaling in Bessemer, AL. I expressed my hesitation to my DM because that was nearly 4 days for only 800 miles. Planners changed the pickup time so it actually picked up Wednesday morning but that still left the issue of what do I do all day Tuesday? Well my DM asked if I want to do shuttles. At $350 per 180 mile trip the answer was a no brainer. I would deadhead to Monmouth, shuttle a load to Bettendorf, taken an empty back to Monmouth and then shuttle a load back to EDub. Kill time today, make an easy chunk of change and get my load Wednesday morning. Or so it should have been. I got to Monmouth with no issues until I went to pick up my loaded trailer. The abridged version is that 4 hours later the conclusion was that the gearbox for the landing gear was shot, there was a possible air leak somewhere, and the freight needed to be transloaded to another trailer. A little less than an hour after this conclusion was reached, dispatch gave me a shuttle run to Bettendorf and I would deadhead back to EDub. Fine. At this point I am sore from fighting with the first trailer and tired of this crap. I go get my new bills, pull around to my trailer and REEFER CODE. FML..... Unit was set at 0 but maintaining 15 and not in defrost. Farmland basically signed my bills saying yes they knew the trailer wasn't at the temp the bills specified but they were ok with that. I wasn't going to argue because that reefer mess lead to another hour of being delayed. However at this point I'm buddy-buddy with Shaun in Breakdown. I think we spent at least 15 minutes discussing mixed drink and general alcohol preferences LOL. I have already lost count of how many times I have talked to him since I started here cause the answer is TOO MANY!

So yeah.... that's pretty much where I'm at now. Remember, if it can go wrong, it will happen to Kris.

And another day to be spent in a motel. May have to start calling this place home. Part that is needed has been on order since Monday, and hasn't even been shipped yet. My company got into the act this morning, found the part in AL., and is having it shipped here. Every thing in the fuel system is either having to be replaced or cleaned, that's a lot of stuff. Needless to say, I'm bored, going nuts, and ready to get out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I am really falling for this Kenworth T 660. The Cummins engine with the Eaton automatic pulls hills like a BEAST. This is how its done! Its a little noisier and less space up front, but the sleeper seems roomier and love the sky light windows. The AC (you heard me) and the apu work great. Truck runs like a champ. Headed for Cleburne TX with 41k of OJ and Lemonade to the Walmart DC. Time to rise and shine and drive! Deuces!
