Anyone ever watch the miniseries The Pacific? I picked it up last week, outstanding. Worth the $25

 

My miles this week have taken a hit. Will be lucky to hit 1700 for the week. Got a swap in Breezewood PA to take me home to Carolina. Thought it was a final, but actually a 3 stopper. First stop, Sav-a-ton in Williamsport MD. At 0215 am ugh. Couldn't decide whether to take my break in Breezewood, or here at the receiver. When I saw on google, that this place was in a rural (read safe) area, it was a no brainer, I came on down, during the daylight. Good move. Traveling US 522 down through McConnellsburg PA through the mountains was really worth it. Got here around 1830. Second stop is tomorrow, in Henderson NC 0445 at the Walmart DC. Final in Durham several hours later. Wonder how the snowstorm is gonna affect the deliveries? Oh well, gotten use to some winter weather driving this trip. Needed the practice. So far, so good! Deuces.

 

You only paid 25 for it, #### I got ripped off a couple of years ago, then again I did get on blue ray and yes very good series. Same producers as Band of Brothers which is also very good as well.

 

I am at the Pilot in Bow, NH for a day off to recuperate from the plague that has been kicking my butt. Another driver was sent in bobtail to take my load. He ended up taking it BACK to CT to deliver the first two stops and then return to MA at 0400 for the final stop. I am thoroughly traumatized over the way people drive in MA. Traffic control signals and speed limits are apparently just suggestions, these people have a love affair with blasting their horns and they have achieved a level of a##hole driving that I haven't even touched yet. 4 foot or higher snow banks lining every street and people parking everywhere had me inches away from preventable accidents many times. I am NEVER COMING BACK. Ever. Plus I was dealing with all of that while sick and beyond exhausted. My DM has redeemed herself for getting me OFF that load. Spending the day chugging Nyquil and sleeping and will probably tell my DM to set my PTA for tomorrow. Rest and fluids are doing wonders.

George, I keep forgetting to ask how your dad is doing. I hope that he is doing much better.

 

i75 in the Atlanta ga area is getting slammed with bad weather. Zero parking at any of the stops off the highway. @HometimeQueen its TERRIBLE here in Colorado. I guess there's been a pile up off i70/470 here. Drive safe guys...
