Sorry couldn't help but get a little laugh at that. Surprised that the teenagers were yelling about calling 911 and not grabbing a shotgun

EASTBOUND Lanes of I-24 are OPEN
WESTBOUND Remains Closed
The EASTBOUND traffic is now moving along Interstate 24 all the way through Kentucky. Eastbound traffic started moving from the 16 mile marker near Paducah heading eastbound toward Clarksville and Nashville in the last 20 minutes.
The westbound lanes remain blocked between about the 50 mile marker and the 45 mile marker. We believe about 200 vehicles remain stuck along the westbound lanes in this section. There are several trucks that have to be freed one at a time and pulled to the top of a hill. It may be several more hours before westbound traffic can be opened.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet had three road graders working this section since daylight in an effort to get one lane cleared. We still have blockages at several of the Exit ramps, but the main line is moving eastbound. Motorists should be aware that much of this section has only one eastbound lane open. Caution is required.
One issue has been that when we started to get traffic moving there would be another crash that would block the roadway again. We are asking everyone to slow down and use caution along this section of I-24.
Again, only one eastbound lane is open along much of his section. The Westbound lanes remain closed between the 50 and the 45.

Here at the Olathe yard. Been going back and forth across Missouri with swap relay loads between the yard and Troy Illinois TA. Delivered in nearby Lenexa KS and bobtailed to the yard to await my next assignment. By the way, I AM BACK IN MY TRUCK as of yesterday. You know, the one with the microwave oven and the satellite radio subscription. Been here since about 2pm local time and waiting on a load. Taking my 10 hour break now. Supposed to be getting a load to LA. Last two times, got swapped out in OKC, and just recently got pulled off one to Anaheim and sent to Holcomb Kansas and the blizzard of the winter. So I remain cautiously optimistic. Would rather head to Florida and spring training. Oh well. So I am the last mohican who is a current TransAmer on the blog. Almost made it to the 10 month mark here and a year mark solo. Abilene released me on March 25th last year (before I was really ready). I have survived, I think. Deuces are wild. Hope the second year goes better!
dennisroc Thanks this.
