Good luck on the move Jaso. I hope you had the good sense to get your lady a foam cheese head as a house warming gift. She needs to feel appropriately welcomed back to her home state!

Sorry to read about the loss of your friend HTQ. If the good ones really die, why do I feel them coming out in me? In times of stress and turmoil, why do I feel like they guide me to my best behavior and show me how to love in a way I did not know before?

Passport my DM's were Patrick and Emily. Both had strong points and weak points but overall were good to me. I don't know if they would let you change your DM but if they do I would highly recommend that pairing.

Passport, my DMs are/were Tessa and the recently departed Terry Davis. Not sure what happened with him, but Tessa is very good and am happy to have her. They have been plugging in other dispatchers opposite of her spot. Two confessions here. I do not like to use all my 11 hour/14 hour clock. Would rather park and not violate. The second is my truck got turned up to 65 months ago when in came out of the Kenworth dealer in Raleigh. For what reason, I do not know and no one has said anything to me. Alas, I did get a swap in Burlington CO, 12 miles from the Kansas border. Got an empty and given a Holcomb KS meat load that they want t-called to the Olathe yard. I stopped at the Petro in Colby KS for the night and will head over to the Pilot a mile from here for fuel, and a shower. Hope the load is ready. Sitting on 2200 miles right now and my second 3000 plus week within grasp. I need to keep moving.

Ah ok, that explains it. I can do 660 in a truck that can go 65. It is a push and things need to go right, but I like a challenge and that explains it. My first company truck had the cruise set at 62 but I could hold the peddle down manually and get er up to 65. I had a short term company truck that was set to 65 all the way around. TransAm wants 62 on a company truck but I don't think they are all that uptight about the 3mph difference.

Glad the swap resolved it all in the end for you. Sounds like you are doing well, take care.

So Passport are theses just hypothetical questions about TA's DM's for general discussion purposes or are you thinking about signing back on with them?

I came into trucking with a great attitude, have a situation built to be an OTR truck driver (at least most of the year). TransAm almost ran me completely out of the industry last year with their frustrating policies and poor driver support.

However, also due to my situation, going back with TransAm, for at least awhile would be easy and convenient. Going back would be conditional on getting a new DM and a few other factors. Right now it is about 30% chance I would re-sign with TransAm, 70% not,

I need keep things open due to some factors not related to trucking. I may need to come back for a shorter term than normal, maybe only a couple of months. If some things fall through and I am open to work a full 6-7 month stint (or more), I will skip TransAm all together and move direct to a better company.

At Garden City KS truck plaza waiting on my Holcomb load. When I saw the open window time frame, I knew I might be in for a long wait (0700-2330). Arrived at Holcomb at 11am, load not ready, called at 330 pm load not ready. At this point, I gotta finish my break and reset my 11 and 14 so I can complete my 6-7 hour trip to the Olathe yard. Gotta have it there by 8am. Doing Jaso's night flight vampire hours. I have been napping all afternoon which should set me up to drive the overnight. 4 more hours. Only 109 miles today plus any I get between 10pm and midnight. Oh well, that's trucking for a meat hauler.
