^ I think George is the one lone TransAm soldier left in here.

That is why we need the King to return!

I don't think the King would go to Trans Am for all the tea in China.

HTQ, hope things work out well for the king regarding employment, as well as for you and the "embattled " teen daughters. Hope you will have better days ahead. Can't believe your daughter's TP "obsession!" Surely there are other things more worthy of thinking about?! Sounds like never a dull moment around your house!!!!! :biggrin_255: George suggests buying her baby wipes for Christmas.

The King is just flat worn out. My husband that normally is a Sam Elliot look alike started to look like Kramer from Seinfeld. Paper logs are great until they start expecting A LOT of creative coloring.I don't know what changed after the first of the year but something did ....greed maybe. What was a decent trucking job began to resemble the white volvo crowd more and more every week. Much like what had happened with you years ago jaso. The funny thing is that the money and miles were not adding up either.....and health insurance for our family went to right at $900 a month. We kept hoping it was a temporary push and that things would go back to what they had been ....it didn't happen. The King should have flat out told them no on some of these load schedules but he thought it was a temporary thing and that he was being a team/company family player. I won't even tell you the miles that he put in between Monday and Wednesday.....hopefully he will at least get paid for them.
So....don't know what will happen from here. They weren't happy with him yesterday and he wasn't happy with them, he took the truck back to the yard and unloaded his stuff.

There are a couple of companies around here needing dispatchers and recruiters ....who knows maybe I will venture out in the world .....I can pretend to know everything about the trucking industry with the best of them. :biggrin_25525: We'll see.....all I know is that right now we need a break. The King is down about 20 pounds and I haven't seen him genuinely laugh in several months.

it is amazing how good jobs turn bad
i sleep about as much as HTQ so time doesnt mean much to me

is it RBX that is near you Queenie
i have read on here good things from them

these west coast runs are just right for me 2200 each way or more
it is bumping docks every day and 400 miles unload reload wears me out

I have a friend that worked for RBX years back and loved them. He suffered some health problems and couldn't drive anymore. He says he would go back to them in a heartbeat if he could. They have had some recent pay increases also that would make them look very tempting. The King says he would drive the trash truck right now if he could just come home every night and sleep in his own bed.

Have him apply to Waste Management in your area, your majesty (something my wife wish I would do). In Tucumcari New Mexico at the J. 590 miles yesterday. Ran my clock down to two minutes but I wasn't sleeping with Coyotes on US 54. Gonna make Flagstaff or better today. Lake Havasu is too far. Well, battery is dying on my Kindle. Been playing on facebook for a few hours. What a great time killer. Time to get a shower and breakfast and start my Saturday.

How about you Jaso? Think of this as an exit interview. Would you ever, for all the tea in China, return to TransAm?
