Realized now that the bicycle load never had a chance to be on time even with the four hours worth of delays. Made it Evanston Wyoming before shutting down at the J. Curiously, my APU is shutting off and its 29 outside so can't continually idle. It was heating, now its not. Better thrown on a jacket and bury my head. Texted Roadkill, told me to turn off the fan and wait 5 minutes. Came on, when the batteries get low the apu will kick on and recharge them. Looks like a sleepless night and a 400 mile trip left. Oh what a night.......

 

Evanston, WY is at a higher elevation than Denver. I got TA to give me a hotel for the night when the problem happened to me. Mine worked fine once I got out of the clouds , down to Dodge City the next night.

 

Let me ask you Trans Am drivers a question, a friend I consider to be honest told me he ran into a rookie Trans Am driver lastweek that told him he only went out with a trainer for 2 days, can that possibly be true? He said the poor guy had no clue how to scale a load, slide his tandems, read a BOL, he was trying to back into a spot at a pilot with his tandems slid all the way back. I find hard to believe that a company would put a driver with only two days of training.

 

Ouch! I saw a female trainer yesterday kicking a female trainee off her truck (with the police involved) at the Midway Service Plaza in PA yesterday. Talked with the trainer for a few. Nice chick.
