Trans Am Still

^ ^ That is an interesting point, passport. ..TA still. Wonder if HTQ will be changing the name. You are right about the usefulness of the thread. It is so inspiring how helpful various ones of you have been to one another! George and I have often discussed that. If more people were like that, there wouldn't be so much conflict in the world. Unfortunately there will always be selfish, self centered people who think of their own agendas and feel others should manage on their own. I echo your sentiment, speaking as a significant other I appreciate the help you on the thread have given George. Thank you, thank you, thank you one and all. You're a great bunch! I wish each of you nothing but the best!! I hope everyone will continue dropping by with tips, jokes, and staying in touch.

 

Pete and I had talked about the thread awhile back. It was Pete's feeling that the thread needed to stay as it was so that we could continue to be of help to any that followed us......and he is right, I agree with him.

passport, I understand about feeling out of touch with the TransAm way of doing things. Even when I know how to answer someone's question, I hesitate because I don't know if things have changed. George's dilemma with the elogs for instance .....I know what the King would have done.....gone to paper and let them sort it out later.....but I questioned myself before suggesting it. I recently heard an eight year company driver with TransAm say that things have changed so much that even he doesn't recognize it anymore.

I also feel uncomfortable some times with just posting personal news and jokes. I am afraid that someone will see that and think we can't provide them the help that they need.

However, we will keep TransAm Still and help as we can ......I think if we occasionally post here, do some road and weather conditions, it will keep the thread active and available to those that are seeking answers.

We have all formed a bond and a friendship that is important to me .....perhaps we should start a new thread to continue with our friendship. What would all of you think of doing that? A place to talk, joke, keep one another up to date.....because even though most of us have already left TA our connections to one another have still helped us.

I'm not willing to give up our friendship .....and am getting ready to track Pete and jaso down and drag them out of whatever place they are hiding in .....by their ear ......pinching hard .....I am in a mean mood, so don't test me!

 

I don't have to ......already gotcha to come out of hiding! And I have a step ladder if need be!

 

I washed my car yesterday ....just a quick rinse because it was covered in dust. The King washed it again today and gave me a ration of garbage because I didn't do a good enough job. ..........I didn't want to tell him that I don't know how to work the windshield wipers There's so many buttons that I am afraid to push anything! And before you tell me to read the book ....I have......it's not written to be American user friendly. Oh well .....I got a free car wash!

I know....but it was so purdy and shiny. It will go quite well with my tiara. Men actually wave at the car.....it's odd.
