It's somewhat understandable about their concern for the freight, however, freight isn't able to interact with customers using good CS skills, adjust logs, scan paperwork, etc. It is sad when companies don't value their drivers. There may be much better driver retention if they did. Plus, happy drivers are more likely to safeguard their freight. 'Course, I'm just a significant other!:hello2:

I don't know about safeguarding freight. If they want it they can have it. Not worth my life...

Last year, I sent a message request to change a TransAm swap from the Gary, IN TA down the road to the Lake Station, Flying J with night dispatch. It went totally ignored.

I would also had them the keys if it came down to it.

I have to admit, I was sometimes lax in using the Abloy lock with TransAm. I did not want to loose that lock in a swap. I did put it on if I was stopping overnight in a higher risk area.

With my new company, I have not had a swap yet, so I put the lock on every time.

I would also add the side lots of Holt Terminal in Gloucester City, NJ as areas to keep an eye out. Not the main secure area but I had to park in a lot just outside the secure area last month and a lot of riff-raff and many dopesick lot lizards around.

I would just hand over the keys and try to get what was important to me. This is not worth dying for

Yeah, I always got a bunch of grief trying to get a new swap point too
Why does TransAm insist on Atlanta, Gary, West Memphis, Nashville, when you got Temple, Lake Station, New Albany (MS), Oak Grove KY less than an hour away. Stupid!
