The good news about this place that I'm picking up at is, I'm the only one picking up today and can have my choice of doors. The bad news is, they won't be ready to load me till this afternoon sometime AND..... cell phone signal is soooooooo slooooooooowwwww, that it can barely keep up with the forum, much less facebook.
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
That's the worst thing ever. It's 2015 - why there are still inhabited places without decent cell reception is beyond me.HometimeQueen and Panhandle flash Thank this.

Well I'll be joining the trans am team on 22Jul2015. I will be going to rockwall for orientation. I'm really excited and can't wait to go. I would like to hear from any one that may be attending orientation with me. I would like to also hear from anyone that may have pointers for orientation and training. I am packing light. About a weeks worth of clothes a small laundry soap flash light and linens. Every thing I'll have will fit in a duffel bag and a small book bag. Is there Anything that anyone would recommend bringing. Like that one thing once you got out with a trainer or to orientation that you thought I should have brought that. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome, texashounddog. It has been awhile since everyone here attended orientation but I am sure that they will all chime in as they get online. In the meantime you may find this to be of some help, it is a blog that we had started several years ago that has some useful information -

Thank you htq that was helpful. So I do need to bring my own atlas. I figured as much. How large are these orientation classes. And have u heard many nightmare coach stories. I can manage to get along with anyone and 11 days isn't very long. I do realize it is just part of it. But i do worry about getting some one who will not stop for showers or to do laundry. Or having someone that talks down to you. We all have been in the trainee seat so I hope to have some one sensitive to that. Do they spend plenty of time on the elogs and runnin the reefer. Do the coaches cover trailer wash outs (if that's what it is called). Is there anything I need to make sure the coach covers
