Me's home. Got here yesterday about 4pm, will be leaving Monday. Meanwhile, it's R & R in the pool with the dogs.

I know it was hard for you and your mom, jungHo, but I am sure your dad was happy for the company. And no matter who he thought your mom was....the love that he felt from her visit is all that matters.

jaso, we are just pickin' on ya. I know you love and miss your wife. You get grumpy when you are away from her too long! :biggrin_2559:

JohnBoy, enjoy your home time! We will look for you on Monday.

Don't be discouraged,George. You will have slow times ......and no rhyme or reason to it. Everything in trucking is dependent on the guy before you doing his job in a timely manner.....and his job is dependent on the guy before him, etc. It is all a matter of an average paycheck.....over a period of several months. There are slow times in trucking. What I noticed is that there seems to be a lull just before school starts and another between Valentines Day and Easter. Think about times that people have had extra expenses ....school clothes, school supplies, tuition......the holidays. There is usually a slow time around those extra expenses. Around here everyone is already gearing up and buying for school, registration is next week and school starts the week after.

I have been thinking about the new dispatch system. Will you also be dealing with the same 2 people for night/weekends? In other words will each fleet have dispatch assigned specifically to them for nights/weekends? After they get the kinks worked out and everyone becomes accustomed to the new system it may turn out to be much more efficient for all of you. I always thought that with a couple of exceptions night/weekend dispatchers fell into one of two categories. They are there simply to handle problems and put out fires. Soooo....you had the amateur Fireman that would get the job done by throwing a big bucket of water on it .....it worked but always left a big smelly smoldering mess for the driver to deal with. Then you had the Arsonists....they didn't really have a clue how to handle the situation but they didn't want anyone to realize it .....so their solution was always to throw a 5 gallon can of gasoline on the problem and "Let her burn!"......that way all of the evidence was destroyed and no one ever realized that they created more problems than they solved. There may be more accountability in this new system .....give it time.

George is at last on the road, I 40 eastbound. He's been on the road about 15 minutes and, despite not sleeping since about 6 am, says he's going to drive as long as he's able to do so safely. First drop Dunn, NC Monday.

I am so happy that Ferro is resigning she was the worst to ever be in charge. Hopefully we get someone competent to replace her. The only bright spot for her when she was in charge was that she would hold a lot of meetings with drivers. The negative was she never listen to any of them. The biggest one drivers talked to her about was training and minimum standards. She never did a thing about it. Second issue was the half hour break then ELDs.

    Be safe out there
