The King's mother died Friday. It has been an extremely difficult weekend, complicated by various family dynamics.
jdmredneck, you haven't been out long enough to know how TransAm operates. Everyone is correct, you will run great miles while you are training. Think about it....1. They have a second driver in the truck for $50 for a whole day's worth of work, I'd run the wheels off of that truck too. It is a money making opportunity. 2. They do want you to have a modicum of experience before they turn you loose and 3. It is part of the selling point for leasing. If you were sent to a meat house and had to wait for 2 days on a load it wouldn't look nearly as attractive, would it? It happens all of the time with meat haulers.....how would you feel if you were sitting waiting on a load and had a truck payment and other bills to pay? Don't be dazzled by the shiny objects ....they are only an illusion to tempt you.
Another point to consider is that freight is down ....and is predicted to remain down for several years.
scott, hang in there. When the right thing comes along you will know it ....it will all go smooth as silk.
