Trans Am Still

After dropping in Syracuse, got sent up to the Canadian border for hay bales going to Hendersonville NC. Got a PM and two new steer tires. Make my delivery in the morning. Hope the sweep out is not bad. Yeesh.

 

Santa needs to bring you a leafblower, George.....it makes life a little easier. I was lucky and found one at a yard sale for $5 .

As per usual for this year, in Denver and guess what? 200 miles of snow maybe 50 miles was plowed. I would never hit a woman but Mother Nature is pushing her limits with me.

 

there is no driver shortage. cdl mills pumping out new drivers every day. It's a common myth in this industry. There is a shortage of Quality drivers however.

You keep bringing up the number of trucks TA has and the lease numbers but how many of those trucks keep the same driver? probably less than 20 percent? maybe less than that. Yes TA is making money, always will. However there is a reason why driver turnover is so high in this industry and it's even higher with those that lease. Those failed drivers arent sticking with TA. They are being recycled out.

Yes some people make it work. If it works for you then great. If it don't, I hope you don't become one of the millions of posters on this forum or in this industry that do nothing but bash the company for their own failures due to their own mistakes.

I have been steaming for the past few days. My dad is an 80-year-old Korean and Vietnam war veteran ....with dementia. Someone close to my family circle took advantage of that fact and left my dad in a bad situation. I am more than angry, to say the least.

Dang HTQ that sucks serious monkey parts. I hope y'all get it worked out cuz there's no doubt your pops deserves the best. That had to be a crazy era to serve in.

Dad is ok ....or as well as can be expected given his health. That's the problem.....my dad is being taken care of, but I sure would like to take care of the person that used him and took advantage of him. I am not really a nice person when it comes to stuff like this. I have been battling my dark side for several days now.
