Lol I saw that story a few days ago and tried to imagine the mindset of the hillbilly that stole it. Funny stuff. I'm awesome, spendin an extra day at my sisters cuz my fuel pump crapped out on my expedition. When it rains it downright pours lol

Too funny, Crazy driver!
Sorry, scott, I know how that goes.
On the bright side, it sounds as if you are up and about and on the mend.
Any word on when you can go back OTR?
Wasn't it last year that someone made off with a truck load of frozen chicken? They knew who the driver was but there was a disagreement over pay and driver treatment. He took the trailer to a truck stop and abandoned it and bobtailed home. They didn't find the trailer until it thawed .....ewwwww.
dennisroc and scottlav46 Thank this. -
I think rotten chicken is the worst smell in the world...probly cuz I associate it with all the missed chicken dinners I didn't get ;/
If this dadgum expedition wouldnta crapped out this weekend I'd be under a load today. Haven't been released yet by the doc but Xmas is coming and baby needs swag. Should be ok, it's pretty much healed and I feel like a hundred bucks so good times.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
HTQ sorry to hear about your Dad.
I'm in Lamar, Co. for the night. Hope I get a few nights of no ice or snow. Should be in Liberal tomorrow early morning. Then to Wi. maybe a chance to see the wife.gntorres61, dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
HTQ I hate to imagine what happened to your father , sorry to hear about your and his bad luck , hope all is fine now !
Hope all is good for everyone else on here and you all had a happy Thanksgiving with a lot of good food and good family time
Seems really strange to me that someone would steal a truckload of meat ???
How would they sell it ?
Maybe they have a buyer lined up already ?
Strange -
Thanks, dennisroc. The most valuable thing that they stole from my dad was quality of life and time. He still had some good days to enjoy and know his grandchildren.....but that is gone now. It is not safe to leave him alone with a cup of coffee.
Nothing will bring any of that back. His memory is gone.....my dad is gone already.dennisroc Thanks this. -
One part of an FMCSA rule published in April that made changes to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s medical examination regulations will take effect Dec. 22.
Drivers going in for their DOT physicals after Dec. 22, 2015, will notice a new Medical Examination Report Form, which features more questions about medical history.
Also included in the new rule is a requirement of medical examiners to electronically submit on the National Registry the results of medical exams once a month. Until June 22, 2018, FMCSA says drivers only have to carry the exam certificate for 15 days after the physical for proof of medical certification. After that 15-day period, law enforcement will have the records in a database they can access at roadside.
After June 22, 2018, drivers won’t have to carry medical examiner’s certificates at all because examiners will have to submit exam results by midnight of the day the exam is conducted, and the results will be available to law enforcement immediately.jaso37 Thanks this. -
HTQ that disease is in my bloodline also. My grandmother and great uncle had it. My great uncle was out shopping and had to call the wife because he couldn't remember how to get home. I believe my grandmother was already in the nursing home when she got it. Im assuming you were talking about Alzheimer's.
I'm out of work for another week or two. I failed my dot yesterday. Maybe try again next week.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
As far asI know Evomalo my dad is the only one to have any health issues like this as he has aged. I have wondered if it could be service related.....I have never even thought about doing any research to that effect until recently. I have a friend whose husband is a Vietnam vet. He had asked repeatedly over the years if he had ever been exposed to Agent Orange and was told no.....until he developed cancer and was told that he had been exposed. My dad was part of a mission into Vietnam that has only recently been de-classified. ....I will be looking into this further.
I'm sorry you didn't get the green light to go back to work.....but it sounded as if you still had considerable pain when standing on that foot. I hope you are soon back to feeling 100% and ready to get back OTR.passport220 and Evomalo Thank this. -
