Trans Am Still

It had 2 pickups and 1 receiver... but the shippers didn't agree on the set point temp for the load. It turned out to be a fiasco. First time I've had that happen.

Then that annoying 1980's speed limit CA has for tucks didn't help any.

 

Interesting week. Mon-Fri up to Chicago and back. Saw my first.snow of the season and single digit temps and temps in the teens. My truck is supposed to idle below 20 degrees, but mine won't until it reaches 10 degrees. EPUs stink! Rather have an APU. Violated my 11'by 7 minutes. Couldn't find parking at the Fredericksburg (VA) visitor center. At 6pm!! Could have stayed in Front Royal VA at the truckers rest area on I 66 but too close to the blizzard zone should it start early tomorrow. Ended up at Ladysmith VA rest area. Leaving at 0430 and deliver these gas grills before hell breaks loose. Then, presumably to the house. Nite nite!

 

In Tulare, Ca. rough time getting here. Hopefully these 3 pick ups will go smoothly today. Then on to Ohio. Hopefully no road closures or article blasts on the way.

 

The JBS facility in Omaha caught fire tonight. No idea how much damage. Used to pick up there, when it was the 4star excel. Think we might have got 2 or 3 out of there since JBS bought it.

 

Well 3 picks took some time, OK really just the first one. So will be in Vernon, Ca. for the night. Enjoy this nice weather one more night then back too the cold.

 

Made it home from my midwest trip. Sunday I get to go where the blizzard was. Near Philly for a drop on Monday. Gotta get some kitty litter and snowshoes today.

 

That could be an issue, it may still be snowing Sunday morning in Philadelphia. Last I saw they are going to get nearly as much as DC. Well over two feet is expected today into tonight. Better check to see if receiver is even open on Monday.
