Getting my second load now. Only 14 hours from first load till now. Produce is no fun but at least it pays well. Guess I'll be going up 44 to get to Chicago. Stay out of that bad weather.

 

Is that the one with huge gloryholes in the porta potties?

 

I decided to try it last night on 80 east in NE. Made it as far as Western Gas in Hershey, NE. That'll be the last truck stop you'll get to heading east that's useable. Even if you make into North Platte to the Loves or Flying J, they are full. Fuel up before you get here since this place is out of fuel.

Woke up staring at this... he's buried up. The good side is that there's 1/2 a parking spot in front of me



edit2- Now they have 80 closed @ exit 117 in Brule right above the TA there. 30 is closed also. No way around this crap.

 

Never used the facilities.

 

I get to hang with the wife tomorrow night. Rent a room and we will just hang. So far on this time out that's a 4th time we've had at least one night together. I have one more west coast run then I'm home for a week. Loving this new place. Best decision I have made in a very long time.

 

Man I'm happy for ya bro one hears so MUCH about how places suck that I'm always tickled to hear a driver say they're likin their gig!

 

After a 10 day break (Florida trip, stuff around the house, help my youngest stepdaughter get a new used car) its time to grind once again. Jungho drops me at Rocky Mount Yard tonorrow, "borrow" someone elses ride, pickup a load QVC nearby, head to our yard in Claremont, swap tractors back into my own, head to Lexington KY. Sure hope I can remember how to drive.
