Trans Am Still

I just blame you 90% of the time. For the other 10% it's the Queen's fault cause I'm never at fault.

 

In Edwardsville, Ks. get the load tonight then two stops in Cali. By Monday morning. Then I'm sure a whole day wasted for produce but I can't complain too much produce pays very well. Just deciding whether I should go 54 to 40 or just ride 80 all the way. I'll check the weather maps first.

 

MY FAULT???? ........Well, ok....I'll accept 10% of the blame.....simply because I am blonde and don't know any better!

Of course it is! ( Other than the 10% I said I would take on just to make jaso feel better)

 

It is sad though, isn't it? That after all of these years of trying to pay it forward, of reaching back and trying to give the next guy in line a hand up, that all most of them have got out of it is to bide their time and then move on and they will make more money. They missed the part about learning and paying their dues....and about helping the next one starting out.

 

Well, you have to admit... most of the good info is already here anyhow, it's just buried in the 450+ pages of the thread.

I've given it a good read and it's helped me in more ways than I can count. And for that I'd like to thank you all for all the effort you've put in here all of this time.

 

You're welcome, Hick. You and I have talked enough for me to know that you are one of the few that will still be driving years from now. You have what it takes.
And yes, you are right.....there is a lot of good information buried in these pages that will help anyone that is starting in this industry, not just new TransAm drivers. All of us have been moved on from TransAm a number of years ago. Times change, the industry changes and so do the companies. Part of what helped everyone here to make the most of their time and money with TransAm was the information on shippers and receivers. Knowing what to expect, if there was overnight parking, where the closest truck stop was, etc. ....all of those things make life a bit easier, less stressful and your paychecks a little better.They also give a driver a little breathing room to really learn and gain experience. While some of those things are the same, many of them have changed, company policies change. We don't have current information to help with those things anymore. That is where the new drivers need to step in and step up and pay it forward.

 

Transam is a good starter. Might go back there, just this time get smart and do 6 month lease.

Unless policy has changed, experienced drivers are only allowed to come aboard as l/o's.
