You take your confirmation to the customer service desk. They look the number up and print your bus tickets out.HometimeQueen Thanks this.

Just bring the number to the ticket desk with ID you'll be alright. Then sit back and enjoy your ride. Just about Every company works this way.

It's kind of interesting. I thought for sure that I spent a lot more time in NY than I did... guess Hunts Point just makes it feel that way. I swear that every time I go in there those people automatically go into screw-off mode.
And it's a shame that I lost the stats for January because there was some nice TX-AZ-CA running in there. If I had my choice I'd never drive east again except for home time

Good luck. And you'll get to ride another bus every day while you're there.

I got this GPS 2/6 so I don't have very accurate numbers for my first qtr. Will post up 2nd qtr numbers once I have them. I only have 18,801.6 non tollway and 369.9 tollway miles since 2/6. I pay for tolls so my toll miles will be much smaller than those who don't have to.

Most of that toll stuff is back and forth on I-80 for me. I'm company and have to go the route my life support unit spits out. Every now and again I take a little excursion but I keep those down so I don't get that phone call for OoR.
I guess you're free to pick and choose your routes then? Are you LO/OO?jaso37 Thanks this. -
Hello All, im glad this forum is active, as im considering TA as my final choice of companies. Im currently in cdl school ( local college) and have 5 more weeks left. I consider myself fortunate as we have 8 students and 6 trucks available, so all we do is drive around a 2 mile track, and all the backing we want. Passed my pretrip (yeay) the other day and cant wait to get on the road. I appreciate everyones information on here , and have been researching a lot of companies. For me, I think TA will be a good fit to start with. I have a couple of questions if yall dont mind more newbie questions? Lol. Overall, how is the equiptment? Do u have any leeway with choosing ur own route once in awhile? How is the training experience? Hometime? Although hometime isnt a huge deal for me, im single, and plan on being in the truck most of the time. I know some of this may be redundent and i have researched a bit, just looking to hear from actual drivers from ur point of view and any advice and such. Any xtra info is greatly appreciated and hopefully can start within the next 7 r 8 weeks thx
passport220, HometimeQueen and jaso37 Thank this. -
I'm in a unique lease program. I get paid on a percentage and free to go how I want. I have to pay tolls but it's a way better lease program than TA but it's not easyscottlav46, cbman455 and Hick Thank this.

Equipment is top notch. Training is very fast. They allow a little variance from their routing solution but not much. They will get you home when you request maybe not the time but the day. The advice by all of us on here is DO NOT LEASE. This may seem easy when a trainer is next to you but when you're alone and tired and still learning a small mistake can be very costly. Learn on their dime not yours. They will make leasing look easy and a great pay but most fail in the first 30-45 days and when I say most I mean 80+%. Within 3 months over 95%+ fail. This job isn't easy. Don't expect $50,000 your first year. Try not to expect huge things. The first year is the toughest, you'll learn so much. Good luck. I hope this helped.scottlav46, cbman455, gntorres61 and 1 other person Thank this.
