Thank you for the compliment about my intelligence.

Tell me more things that are non-myths about tanks please. How do they load or unload you? Like what do you guys mean about pushing a button? What do you have to do to drive a tank or what do you have to have? And also I thought you had to have like three years of experience driving trucks for that. Or is that just doubles?

And what that other guy was talking about is what I'm afraid of.

What about over-sized loads? Are those good to drive and easy money too?

I know very little about that type of trucking but we do have many members on here that do it for a living.

Tankers usually load under what is commonly called a rack. The operators open the dome lid and put a nozzle in your trailer and hit a button to fill up the tank.

There are no official requirements for any type of trucking. Schneider hires brand new drivers to pull tanks. I know, i use to train them there.

We all were leery of something we don't know at one time or another . Not pushing you off vans . Respect . It's just that in vans at Megas your time is free . With tanks you get paid to load , unload , wait . You're passionate . Not dull . Shame to me that you sell yourself short but that's just me talking. I get it . Vans they use you up chew you up kick you down the road . And you do you , I get it . Not saying tanks is for you . Maybe it's vans and just kicking it and making a few dollars more till you get your year in . I just happened to surf Trimac and saw they took students . What a better way to kick off your career and use your brain jmo. Oh and Stevens . I mean , dang . Just dang . Lol . I know all the Megas inside and out . I used to train Dick Simon drivers before they went under . They're all crap. Jmo

How often do you back them up since you don't have to get loaded or unloaded?

Not as often as vans. Usually the backs are easy but I've had some difficult ones. You still have to get loaded and unloaded, lol. You just do it differently.

Well I'm not sure if I have the guts right now with what little experience I have to pull double tanks but what about single tanks? Is that just local stuff or can you do otr with tanks? Also, what about driving them for the trucking companies like love's or pilot?
