    Really ? ..then every post "in a public forum" should be checked for credibility,truthfulness,accuarcy,and correctness,prior to being allowed to be posted or read right? I post my opinion,and it could be180 degrees from being right and most likely it is way wrong but it is my opinion, and that makes it right,and not a case for "libel" right ??

    That would be up to the lawyer taking the case.

    But that's why on this type of medium one should try to curtail possibly identifying details such as truck numbers.

    Libel would be like in a more personal or professinol level such as a former employer tell a new employer about an x employee,then they must speak facts vs opinions..thats my take anyway..

    Problem is, defamation of character is such a relative term. Anyone can say this on a whim.

    Convincing a judge, however, is a different story. But then there's factor of the time you lost.

    Omfg...I am dying laughing right now..a ####ing emu!!!??? I have heard it all now. Wow. I work at TLI and I can just imagine what some of these guard shacks would say if I rolled in with an Emu in the passenger seat..holy #### ;)-:D:D

    And I gotta say this company is pretty decent. Good long haul runs and no micro managing of the drivers (speaking for myself here).. runs are good just the way they play out u sit a day or so between them. I have been here since April and had none of the issues that are talked about in these forums. Think I will go get me a cow or something now for the truck as my pet :)-

    You are right it is called lible. however you have to be able to show some monetary loss caused by the party you are suing. in the end most can't prove that part.
