Hey everyone quick question, im thinking about transferring my CDL-A license to PA but still living in NY and working for the same company for about another 6 months or so, would this be a problem? Would my companies truck insurance company find out about me driving a NY truck with a PA license ?

Why change to another state if you don't live there?

Doesn't matter where you live as long as it's in the hiring area for the trucking company.
Trucking company insurance covers the hiring area.
Does the trucking company hire PA drivers?

You can move and get a job and then transfer your license later. You have 30 days after moving to transfer your license. Just tell prospective employers you are moving to that area.

When moving to a new state(PA) from terrible NY do you get a new abstract or does everything transfer over?
