Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone has gone from doing local delivery/routes into doing overnights maybe 1-3 nights a week? I have foodservice experience, and I'm used to coming home every day, but I found another job that requires overnights and the pay is a couple dollars more. So, i'm just wondering if it's worth it or not. No kids, and no wife, so I can do overnights if I really want to. But, I dont know if i can handle staying at random hotels, checking into weigh scales, trying to find warehouses out in the middle of nowhere, etc etc.

You need three days or nights straight undisturbed to flip your body.

One company used to send me home for that switching between night work or day work in tanker. One time they failed to do it and it ended my ability to continue that week.

In OTR, you are 24/7 you sleep next week.

Your post is confusing. Are you going to be working overnights? Or still working days but staying in a hotel some nights?

Never let your company send you out foe "just one night" ever or you'll be running every where not near home

Nights are the way to go, time seemed to go faster. Just make sure the company has deer guards.

I'm Local/regional/intrastate, AND drive nights, by choice (and the $100/week shift diff.) ;)
