Look dude you are talking to a 15 year vet and I know the truth about elogs I have a close relationship with the boys at OOIDA and they are firmly against that rope that will surly find its way around your neck one day in a courtroom.
Ask yourself why would the largest companies want even the single owner ops in on a good thing that keeps them in biz? Answer because the large companies can do massive drops and hooks they have plenty of trucks to do swaps if need bethe one man show cannot thus he will go under quickly.
So save ya noise for a few rookies I don't play that game.

Wait! I don't want your copies I want the ones your company has access to the one that shows all movement of your truck!!! That's how the lawyer would want it and I would have you pay fines and or go to jail so fast you would think I was insane!!!
-
Elogs may not make it very far just call your lawmaker and tell them the truth. I do it all the time and this last time I told her about that crooked doctor the FMCSA has working for them they use to justify their sick twisted reasons for why they do what they do.
The HOS really don't work all that well as long as that crooked doctor has stakes in those sleep apnea machines if memeory serves me right.
Ya see I talk to OOIDA a lot and they let me know about PRIME too which has stakes in those machines too which is why they will not hire fat drivers!
As you all know the HOS as they stand now say that for the most part that drivers dont need a nap and well know that's a lie and so all of a sudden they mandate a break but don't change the 14 limit and that's so that the little guy goes under. The people who are making the rules are using the government to do their dirty work for them and force owner ops out of business.
Dude I know and the rest of us know you are playing head games and well some of us have plenty of amo so you wanna take it from the top one more time?Last edited: Mar 14, 2013

Agreed, please reply with quote so we can follow your statements. There is no reason why you can't run legally, you just need to understand the regulations. When I started at my company I picked 30 drivers and matched their paper logs vs their movement history, 3 days amongst the 30 drivers that didn't not have a false log over a month. Now on eLogs we have some drivers that violate, but the vast majority have no violations at all, ever. We track MWH, and PC miles to account for movements that aren't logged as well.

Well I've seen a whole lot of opinions and such and I'm with a lot of you. I don't like Elogs, I don't think they'll do anything but maybe CYA if there's an crash. I'm looking for cold hard facts from drivers who have switched to Elogs and how it's affected them. I tried running it this week and all I did was drive faster, which in turn made my MPG go down. I had to compensate for when I was able to massage my paper logs a little here and there to have the extra drive time so I'd be able to terminate an extra load.

Yeah , right . Everybody listens to OOIDA . Since you're so tight ask them how things are going with these issues : unpaid detention , lumpers , split sleepers . They aren't doing very well on those .
They may have won a battle with EOBR's but they'll lose the war . If harassment is such an issue why did FMCSA get less than 40 comments when they posted a request for comments ?Roadmedic Thanks this. -
Drivers on E-LOGS are very very dangerous, tired and UNSAFE.They are very stressed out people...
-
I was switched to e-logs. The added stress it's there because they nitpick more of what you do.
