    mostmodern busess have transmission retardeders,i don't know if thats what you are talking about or not,but they go down a hill going to cripple creek co. easier than me with a six cyl jake brake hauling gasoline,hope this helps,seeya.

    Back n the 70's and early 80's there was a hydraulic retarder they used. I'v seen them on 359's with the v8 cats. Is that what we are talking about or is that what bronc is talking about? I thought they were on the transmission but I'v never seen one just kinda assumed it I guess.
    Of course they could just be messing with the rookie. Now you better make sure that Jake brake cooler is working.
