KMac Thanks this.

Could have easily been a defect or bad tranny. Those transmissions are built pretty tough and it would be hard for an individual to destroy one in a short amount of time.

Thanks for the info CAXPT.
Well I will venture a guess and say the tranny was jammed in one of those two gears or attempted to viciously at a most inopportune time. Poor tranny. I hope they can fix it soon enough
Yeah not that I want to experiment and see how fadt a tranny can be destroyed, but I wonder what exactly causes that. Still not as bad as THIS thoughhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQejEBP93Ic&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The shifter fork can bend which isn't a real biggie. They can fix it in place.
The new guy always catches the heat. -
Hold on a second..... the write up said it wouldn't go into first or 6th right? Why am I seeing in my mind the "3rd" driver tried to drive that 9 speed like it was a 10 speed. Of course you can't throw a 9 speed from 4th to LO. You'll break stuff for sure if you manage to do it. Chances are you'll end up with pistons in your lap.
That just has "this is going to end poorly" written all over it. -
I was trying to think, the same fork is being used, to shift between 1/2 and is the same for 5/6. Since the problem is in 1/6 it may be just binding in the linkage...and totally unrelated to the sychronizers. Needless to say it might be minor and they're just trying to scare the beejeezus out of them. -
Yes, the company is probably trying to scare the driver, but something's not adding up, and i'm usually good at math. LOLBlack Sky Thanks this. -
he is calling 2nd gear first gear.........
LO=1st gear......
