You seem to have a deep fascination with Rutherford. I would help you with your affliction, but I didn't major in psychology in college, just a couple of semesters.

Obviously you are just someone who has limited experience since you have to even ask such questions about Hwy 20 in Illinois. Like I said, run it grossed, especially at night in a snow storm, and then let me know what you think. I am sure you will need a break by the time you reach Stockton on that route under those conditions. You seem to think that only a hill qualifies if it has a runaway ramp and maybe a chain law. Some of us who run stuff like this don't need to be nannied about such things by the government like those that stick to 4 lanes. And it is very easy to drop 5-6 gears on some of those pulls thru that stretch. Sure they are shorter length hills compared to some out west, but they will challenge the most experienced driver on a bad night. But I suggest you leave that stretch to the bull wagons, grain and bulk haulers, and the rest of us who run that stretch. We know what we are doing. And we don't need chains to do it. And we had better not screw up, because there are no outs on some of the worst parts of that stretch. Small shoulders, no pull over areas, and no ramps. Try it sometime when you can clear your mind of Rutherford and focus on driving. You are basing your comments on what you perceive the rest of the country is, not on anything experienced.

But, nonetheless, I think you are hopeless and just stirring the pot. You think you have a lock on what driving is, so no one is going to change your mind. That's cool. But I do think you could benefit from some therapy. For some radio personality to put such a burr under your saddle is sad. Makes me glad I do not have satellite radio.

I used to think all of Illinois was flat, then i went to NW illinois near Kent,Pearl City, stockton and Lena haulin silage on their back roads and a littlw on 20. That area is not flat. You get done crawling the hill and back down you go. Nothing but a roller coaster. With dirt roads barely 1 lane wide to boot. Keeps you awake and on your toes though. I liked it the first few days. After that me right knee got sore from so much shifting.
