Transporting a dolly

    Something possibly about brakes, not sure. A con gear weighs about 2K lbs. If theirs no brakes that be be applied, and descending a downgrade, and you need to stop or slow quickly, that 2K lb pushing the front vehicle could be a problem. If you rent a U-Haul trailer the largest (8X12) has a braking system and the smaller utility trailers dont.

    Brakes on utility trailers in Texas arn’t required to have brakes unless 5,000 lbs carry capacity or higher. Most boat trailers don't have brakes. So nothing illegal about what this thread is talking about here.
