it was a 525hp stock. I forget the model number I think I bookmarked it, i'l go see if I can find it.
800hp isn't that hard but it does require some pricey parts. I'd build it myself. I'm not that great a fabricator etc, motors is what I do. You can get everything from pittsburg Diesel injection including the pump and the ceramic coated pistons, etc. Just have to put it together. My problem is I'm much more familiar with the motor in your truck then the one in mine. This is the first big cam cummins I've ever touched. -
the other problem is it's too big a motor for a short hood without cutting out the firewall I believe -
sounds like you would be better off getting you a 3406 cat and recondition it yourself for less the cash

PS. MM like my new logger? Needs a paint job, only does 17.5 mph and gets about 1.5mpg's...But I got it cheap...Its in the avatar... LOL -
I've considered it. And if I come across a good one I would. It would have to be compleate with all the accessories though. And to be honest I kinda like this cummins. I can buy a brand new injection pump for like $600, go see what one for that cat runs!!
we'll see how money goes once I get it earning.
Right now I'm taped and I need to go find someone to hire me so I can replenish my bank account -

you'r gona cause fights asking questions like that. everyone has there favorite
a KTA is a .... what is it again... hmm Komatsu I think it is built by, I always forget. The K is for Komatso, the T is for turbo charged and A was for aftercooled air. There was also a KTTA which was a twin turbo. Anyways they build it for cummins so techniclly it's a cummins. It was the largest displacement motor ever put into a truck. It was used back in the 70's and 80's. It's still used in allot of big boats. Stock hp ratings up to 600hp which was crazy power back then. They can very reach 1500hp with little work -
These last 3 or 4 pages of Peter love fest have me feeling dirty.
