    There is something definately WRONG with the info you are getting from Ontario! Spread axle trailers are as prevalent in Ontario as they are in the US....Of course you could be like the rest of us and just go around the Ontario scales.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

    Since July 1, 2012, Ontario MTO has approved amendments to the regulation comprise of the following changes:

    - Modify the maximum wheelbase of 6.2 metre on the tractor of Designated Tractor-Trailer Combination 1-Tractor Fixed Axle Semi-Trailer. Tractors with wheelbases up to 7.2 metres will be permitted, so long as they are used in conjunction with trailers that have a corresponding reduction in wheelbase;

    This is why I want to pursue Canada:

    Origin: WISCONSIN
    Destination: SASKATCHEWAN
    Pickup Date: 09/28/2012
    Carrier Pay: $ 4,290.00
    Miles: 1232
    Rate Per Mile: $ 3.48
    Weight: 14000 lbs

    But the Ontario information is still inconsistent.A call to the scale house says I am not legal but this document appears to indicate otherwise:

    http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_050413_e.htm

    Specifically Schedule 1 parts (6) (11) and (16).
    I have not heard back yet from the Ministry of Transport.

    The tag makes no difference. Cali goes by the owner, not the carrier.
