I know. It just goes on and on for about 80 miles.
One time I was up there was just after the plane had crashed, a few hours. It was still burning and reeked. The traffic was horrible. -
I don't even have to go that far. Sarnia and Kitchener are where most of our freight goes and originates.Roadmedic Thanks this.

I remember when the Airport was out in the BOONIES
and the 401 was 4 lanes in that area( 2 West 2 East) , today it looks like the runways will soon be merging with the highway
Kitchener in the fall has all the good German Oktoberfest Food -
Last time I was around Kitchener, about a year ago or so, it was alot of construction.
I try to avoid Ontario entirely. -
I most likely will as well. I don't se me going thru the hassles of going into Canada. But the rates are descent

Going to those places would not be bad. Might be worth the extra dollars.

From TN to deliver in DET vs. CAN adds $.50-$1/mile plus crossing fees. No brainier.

This is very complex. However, 730permit has been EXTREMELY helpful.
They charge fees of course but if you want someone to deal with 'everything' - they are the place to go.
I am going to do some of the filing myself and then have them do the Quebec portions... -
Ontario is very serious about truck safety. When I worked for Provost one of our fleet guys went thru a divorce and started not fixing some of the stuff onthe tractors.
The OPP inspectors caught one of his units in Sarnia. they placed it out of service and impounded the truck, gave him 24 hours to get someone thee to repair his tractor. After 24 hours they remove teh registration plate and send them back to the state of issue...
