Got a web site for the transponder?
I have a 48' spread axle trailer and a 266" WB tractor. I know I need SOME special permits for SOME provinces.
I am still working that portion out-

It is for me as well.

The company I am leased to will reimburse the 10.75, but not the transponder.

    • Commercial Vehicle User Fee:
      • $100.00 - U.S. CBP
      • $105.00 Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)**
APHIS is responsible for protecting U.S. crops and livestock from pests and diseases and for monitoring and promoting wildlife management and animal welfare. The current proposal published in the Federal Register on February 26, 2007 indicates the removal of Canada's exemption from the APHIS Fee for Commercial Vehicles is scheduled for June 1, 2007.

Thats what $205 is for... :biggrin_2554:

So I am still having issues here.
I spoke to a few Lawyers in Canada to help me with my permits and filings...

It seems my rig is too long for Quebec. I had thought I was grandfathered but the atty said that this ended in 2009.
The rig has a 265" wheelbase and a 48' long tractor.

I really wish I could get an honest answer as I have been told many things. I am inclined to believe the atty though.

I am going by what an attorney told me. 730 wasnt too solid on advice for me for the sizement of my rig.
I didnt feel real confident in the information I received. I may just need to call Quebec directly and ask.
