Slip seat trucks. You must leave truck at yard for hometime. I realize this sucks it is what it is.

Hometime policy is as much as you want. No one day off for every week out. You go home when you want and come back when you want. You must check in every 29 days to maintain employment.

The reason I went with this company is hometime. I could find work at higher pay but because I live in San Antonio, TX most companies want me to stay out 3 weeks minimum. I personally don’t like truck stop restarts.

Orientation is 2 days. Orientation starts any day Monday through Friday. You can (should) complete all paperwork and videos on your phone or computer before orientation.

Thursday I got a truck and was dispatched to
    San Antonio to Laredo
    Laredo to Little Rock
    Little Rock to San Antonio.
I did a restart Saturday to Tuesday.
    Paid Miles 1484

    Second week
    San Antonio to Del Rio
    Del Rio to Detroit
    Detroit to Battle Creek
    Battle Creek to San Antonio
Left the house on Tuesday got back Sunday
I did a restart to Tuesday
    Paid miles 3244

    Third week
    San Antonio to Del Rio
    Del Rio to Detroit
    Detroit to Toledo
    Toledo to Laredo
    Laredo to San Antonio
I am doing a restart from Monday till Wednesday
    Paid miles 3491

My fourth week will only be Wednesday through Friday. Not sure what to expect but I have plans this weekend that I can’t miss.

I am hoping since next week I will be starting my week on Monday that my hometime will fall during the weekend.
I have had the same truck the entire time but I have to clean it out when I go on a reset.

I am crossing my fingers when I say this but I have only had one live load and one live unload the rest has been drop and hook.
TNI leaves me alone and I leave them alone.
Scanning in the truck can be a pain I prefer using my phone but they have the Omnitracs scanners.

It’s still trucking but so far it’s been hassle free.

Thanks for info. Please keep us posted. Tni offered me a job and I consider them a fallback if, God forbid, my wonderful company goes under or if I ever get so rich I can actually afford hometime.

The last time I posted I was in the middle of week four. Ended up with just running a roundtrip from San Antonio TX to Laredo TX. I had plans for that weekend and had to be home.

Week Five was my best week. I left the house Monday 3/16. I ran San Antonio to Del Rio drop and hook for Detroit, MI.

My gut told me with everything going on that the auto plants would be closing. So I made it my mission to not waste one minute and get to Detroit ASAP.

I got to Detroit Wednesday and was given a drop and hook out of the same place I was delivering too. Getting there ASAP worked out because two more drivers from TNI arrived after me and had to live unload.

I ended up back in San Antonio Friday afternoon and dropped my load. I took a restart and Sunday afternoon they called me with a load to Oklahoma.

I drove up to Oklahoma last night and delivered this morning. Total paid miles was 3594 on 3743 actual miles.

I have a drop and hook today in Dallas going to Laredo. This company’s main customers are automotive. Since the auto plants are shut down, I guess they plan on pulling brokered freight. I don’t foresee this helping me financially. I guess time will tell.

Many companies are having to go that route for now. This too shall pass.

If you only go home for a restart do you still have to slip seat?
